“Excellent experience; wouldn't hesitate at all about going again”

Excellent hotel; great staff; continental breakfast included with the room was GREAT!! No on-site parking but valet parking was free. Easy walk to the beach, great restaurants, and shopping: Beach chairs, towels and umbrella available for your use at the beach

“One of the best”

The hotel was located in an excellent area. The continental breakfast was delivered to our room at the time requested the night before. A choice of three newspapers was available in the lobby (NY TIMES, NY POST, and NY Daily News) with NY Times delivered to the room. Hotel was quiet and comfortable and there were ample restaurants for dining close by. All in all, an excellent experience. Highly recommended.

“Very Nice Stay”

Had a very nice stay at the Virginia. I arrived late Monday evening at 10 and the restaurant was closing but they were able to accommodate a quick meal for me. Everyone was very friendly and helpful!

“Great for Valentine's getaway!”

My valentine and I spent two nights at the Virginia and were very happy. The room had no view, but we had the shades closed the whole time anyway. Every time we walked in the room we commented on how good it smelled (room 203). It's a very grownup hotel; don't take the kids, they won't appreciate it! The Virginia's decor is primarily red and their logo is a big cursive "V" - so Valentine's Day was very appropriate. It's an old hotel but very clean and very Cape May-ish. We liked that they left us alone, no one hovered. We hung out on the enclosed porch and played Scrabble with cocktails. We would have listened to the Happy Hour duo but the couches were all taken. We didn't eat in the Ebbets restaurant because it is very formal and we are more Ugly Mug kind of people. All in all we had a great time together leaving the kids at home and we said one day we would go back again for an encore!

“Always a Treat”

Attention to detail, friendly service, fine dining and comfort all in one beautiful place! The Virginia is even better off season than during the busy months (May-August). Great room with wrap around porch (Jackson Room) and awesome shower. Happy hour by the fire with live music with the one you love? It doesn't get any better than that?!!! Great wine list, bar and gourmet dining. Hate to leave but look forward to our return!

“Would go back”

We found our room to be clean and comfortable, a little on the small side but it was described as "petite". The continental breakfast was fresh and healthy and we liked the fact that we had the option of eating either in our room or on the veranda. Also, it was a nice touch to have fresh towels delivered to our room on a nightly basis. Great location to the shopping area and good restaraunts...all in all a very nice stay-would recommend to others.

“Will Go Back”

Very nice hotel. Great for a weekend getaway without the kids. Service good. Breakfast good. In the center of beach town, can walk to everything. Parking limited, but has accommodations a few blocks away.

“THE BEST OF CAPE MAY”

We loved the fact that we could give our car to the valet and get it back whenever we wanted it, and not have to bother finding or paying for a parking spot. The convenience of having towels, umbrellas, and chairs on the beach with no fee attached was priceless. Also, the breakfast was great, and we liked having the option of having it delivered to the room, or have it in the lounge, or on the patio. The Virginia is a classy hotel, but as comforting as home.

“Beautiful and Very Friendly”

We would go back to the Virginia in a heartbeat. While the rooms were rather small, the wonderful location and incredibly friendly staff were fantastic.

Loved the Virginia Hotel! Very cozy and extremely friendly, professional staff - definitely exceeded my expectations. Rooms are small, but tastefully done and very comfortable. Will definitely return to the Virginia Hotel; would highly recommend it!
