The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building had a wonderful style. The room was spacious and charming and included a comfy bed, a patio with a view, customizable lighting, large bathroom, and food/drink options. The location is also quite convenient.

Wonderful boutique hotel in a great location
Beautiful and very welcoming boutique hotel in a quite yet central location. Easy walking distance to most sights in the city as well as to Table Mountain NP for trail runs, hikes and runs or to the beaches in Camps Bay/Clifton. Staff was wonderful, service minded and very helpful. There is a small pool for hot days and a tranquil courtyard with lounge chairs perfect for relaxing or reading a book. I’ve stayed at several other hotels in Cape Town but this is by far the best one. Would love to come backs

Amazing hotel in a fantastic location to explore Cape Town. Kloof Street feels more local rather than staying in the tourist hotspot of the Waterfront. The staff were amazing, especially Yannick. Breakfasts stunning. Simply a perfect hotel.

Wonderful boutique hotel in trendy area
stayed here for three nights as part of a bucket list trip to south africa, great base for exploring capetown, up the hill on trendy kloof st. Lovely converted mansion, super comfortable room. Awesome individually cooked breakfasts. Walkable in day time to waterfront area. Several great hip restaurants around nd the corner, in particular Black Sheep cafe where we ate several times. Easy uber pickups. Near the gardens and museums.

Beautiful boutique hotel centrally located
Beautiful boutique hotel, well located. We received excellent service and found it very convenient to have the Cadogan schedule a private peninsula and a day tour of the wineries. The scheduling was seamless because they are connected to the hotel and the guides were excellent.

First night in South Africa
Great hotel and well placed for bars and restaurants on Kloof Street. Staff were excellent and the overall style and design of the hotel was very appropriate for its period feel. Bedroom was a bit smaller than we expected from the original description but only a minor issue. Overall would recommend for anyone going to cape town and wanting to have an alternative experience from the very staged and managed waterfront area.

Excellent boutique hotel
My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Cape Cadogan and we couldn't have been more impressed with our stay. The facilities, rooms, location and staff were all excellent and we couldn't have asked for better. The staff were really what made the holiday. Everyone was exceptionally helpful and friendly, whether it be offering local advice, booking us restaurants or general enquiries about Cape Town. I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough whether you are staying for a short or long stay.

Graceful and gracious oasis in the Mother City
The Cape Cadogan was a calm and comfortable base during our recent four-day stay in Cape Town. On a leafy side street near a variety of excellent restaurants, and close to the historic Company's Gardens, it was poised between the slopes of Table Mountain and the buzz of the Waterfront. Close to bus stops for the highly recommended sightseeing tours, it was a glorious Cape Victorian oasis in the Mother City. Beautifully appointed in a restrained palette, the hotel was run by a sympathetic, helpful and friendly staff who made perfect restaurant suggestions.

Quiet, stylish luxury in a superb location.
We stayed just for night but it was absolutely luxury. We had our own private suite with a pool. Room was immaculate and well appointed. Everything we needed was there and the staff were always on hand and willing to assist with everything. They even turned down the bed and left cookies whilst we were out for dinner. Hotel feels really safe and secure. Breakfast is brilliant with honey so fresh you need to scrape it off the honeycomb!

Jewel in Cape Town
South Africa may be known for diamonds and gold, as well as an abundance of natural wonders, but Cape Cadogan is a jewel of a hotel in Cape Town. It is a small hotel that delivers personalised 5 star service. We were very pleased to have chosen Cape Cadogan rather than one of the big chain hotels near the Waterfront.

From the moment I entered the hotel I felt welcome. nothing was too much trouble and the staff were super friendly, efficient and knowledgable. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and cooked to perfection. I would definitely stay here again. Fantastic. We will happily stay there again.
Staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful. The hotel allowed us to invite visitors to breakfast with us and allow them to sit with us around the pool afterwards. We did not take lunch or dinner in the hotel but the breakfasts were excellent, with a wide range of cereals, fresh juices, cold meats/cheeses/fruit to choose and the option of eggs/omelettes/smoked salmon/bacon etc. if you wanted.

We loved our stay at the Cape Cadogan. I have never found friendlier and more helpful staff in my life and I travel a lot. The hotel offers a nice breakfast, complimentary water, turn down service and even offers afternoon cordials in the main lobby area (sherry and port wine) with canapes which we found truly unique. The hospitality is fantastic at this boutique hotel. Although the rooms are small by NY standards they are very clean. The only bad thing about this hotel is that the wifi reception is very patchy and unreliable. This is one thing that the Cape Cadogan could improve in my view. Otherwise it was overall great!

Guest rooms are basic but common areas are lovely, breakfast is delicious in outside courtyard, parking is free. Service is friendly and wonderful. Simone & team helped us with several arrangements in a friendly efficient manner. Overall a great experience!

Have stayed in many good hotels throughout the world. This is the tops. The service was without flaw, facilities in room as good as it gets. If returning to Cape Town would not consider elsewhere.

Cape Cadogan - must-stay for Cape Town
We had an amazing time at the Cape Cadogan. The hotel is beautiful, a very distinctive, colonial feel. The room was very nice - a bit on the small side for those used to US-style hotel rooms, but very comfortable. There are also a number of very nice common areas (including a lovely courtyard) that we spent a lot of time in. The staff was wonderful- they helped put together a number of trips, and were always very professional and friendly. Breakfasts were included every morning, and were always delicious. There was a very nice buffet with fruit, bread and pastries, and preserved meats and cheeses, as well as a number of very good hot options cooked to order. I would strongly recommend the Cape Cadogan to anyone who wants a smaller spot with tons of character.

A Luxury Boutique Hotel in Cape Town
Staying in the Cape Cadogan was like being a guest in a gracious home. The staff could not have been more helpful with making and confirming reservations, suggestions for excursions and tours and any other thing we needed. The location was great, right near Long Street's restaurants and nightlife. From the lavish breakfast to the complimentary port and canapes each evening, this hotel was a lovely experience.

False impression of luxury on web site and poor location
This is a nice hotel but a little over rated on trip adviser We found it expensive but had a large luxury room and very good service. Nice selection for breakfast but a little far from waterfront area and more backpackers land. Cape Town is very expensive for accommodation but very reasonable for food and drinks.

Comfortable stay, with amazing service!
This lovely guest house is set in a quiet street just minutes from downtown Cape Town. The old house has had a fantastic renovation and is extremely comfortable. However, the thing that set this hotel apart was the service! No detail was too small and no request was denied. There was a genuine concern and desire to make the stay fantastic, easy, and comfortable.

The house is beautifully decorated in the main areas in particular - I expected the bedrooms to be a little more opulent and found them to be comfortable and clean with little detail in terms of design. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is the best I have ever experienced in a hotel let alone guesthouse. Location is very central but part of you actually wishes this house was set overlooking a vineyard as opposed to on the infamously shady streets of Cape Town! We felt very secure once in the guesthouse.

An absolutel gem in Cape Town
The Cape Cadogan Hotel has all the charms of an intimate B&B and yet the quality of accommodation, the breakfast and, above all else, the personalised service are better than most 5-star hotels. Unlike many 'boutique hotels' which can be a bit rough around the edges, the Cape Cadogan is anythig but. The attention to detail is fantastic. Location - A lovely, quiet residential street a few minutes' walk away from dozens of cafes and restaurants (and some very nice shops) on Kloof Street and Long Street. The room - We were in Room 8; beautiful room with a terrace (looking out to Table Mountain) and a massive bathroom. Breakfast - Absolutely delicious! Service - Incredible service...very friendly, helpful and efficient. A special thanks to Dean and Kirsten for your help and hospitality. I can't wait to go back!

Lækkert boutique hotel
Et meget dejligt lille hotel! Smuk bygning med en lille gårdhave, stilfuld indretning og et værelse med balkon dannede rammerne for vores ophold. Der serveres en delikat morgenmad, og vi fik anbefalet flere rigtig gode restauranter i gåafstand. Personalet var hjælpsomme med reservationer og anbefalinger til sightseeing mv. Et ophold på dette hotel kan klart anbefales.

Zentralste Lage
Ausgezeichnetes Haus in ausgezeichneter Lage. Zimmer war klein, aber bot alle Annehmlichkeiten. Für eine Nacht war Grösse ok, für einen längeren Aufenthalt empfehle ich grössere Zimmer zu wählen. Frühstück war exzellent bei äusserst freundlichem Service.
