Pros: Wonderful laid back welcome. Russell's cooking. Marnie's help recommending restaurants. Breakfast. Views...
Location: 'Carne' restaurant, Hussar's restaurant, Cod Father's restaurant.
Marnie, Russell and their team were fantastic. The location and the view are second to none. Great spot to sea sunset literally around the corner (200 yards)

A wonderful stayPosted Jun 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed a 52 De Wet for four nights. The view from the hotel lobby/lounge cannot be beat. The room was clean and roomy, breakfasts were fantastic and the staff (especially the manager) were very nice and always had advice on what to see and where to eat. We would definitely return!

From arrival to departure, every service offered at 52 De Wet is top-notch and personalized. The decor of the hotel is modern, yet cozy and the service made us feel at home--we didn't even lock our door the entire time there! The most delicious breakfast is served every morning (I'm hooked on the Trout Benedict) along with a beautiful spread of meats, cheeses and fruits. The view is so stunning- words cannot describe- we even saw whales blowing in the distance…AMAZING! The neighborhood is charming (San Francisco-like) and safe. The icing on the cake, extra level of service was this: While there we rented a car and the morning of checkout Russell (GM/Chef) and Lucas vacuumed it out before we returned it!! FIVE STAR!

Stunning ViewsPosted Mar 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
This guesthouse is beautifully clean, modern and the winning part for me was my sizeable ocean view balcony. You're high up enough to get an absolutely stunning view of the coast that I couldn't get enough of. The staff are welcoming and helpful, they let me leave my bags there for the day once I'd checked out, booked taxis etc. The breakfast was lovely and fresh (the dinner looked equally yummy, cooked by their own private chef). You only have to look at the neighbouring mansions and penthouses to know you're in a very sought after location. You absolutely need an ocean view and balcony room though - essential!
