“A Gem in the Tamboerskloof Neighborhood”
An African Villa is a beautifully decorated guest house in a quiet, trendy section of Cape Town. We could walk to restaurants at night, and to downtown and the waterfront during the day. The owners were very friendly and helpful, providing guidance about the city and making dinner reservations. The breakfasts were full of everything you could think of to start your day.
“Bed & Breakfast in Cape Town”
Couldn't be happy with our stay. Clean, neat, excellent breakfast, friendly hosts with good advice about what to do and where to go. If I ever take an old house and fix it up I would want it to look exactly like what these guys have done. Put this at the top of your list as a place to stay in Cape Town. One night at the Radisson on the waterfront would have cost the same as four nights here and wouldn't have 1/10 of the charm.
“Wonderful place to stay at!!”
This is a great place to stay at in Capetown. Really friendly, nice staff and the owners are awesome. They make you feel like your a relative instead of a total stranger. We had a really nice room with 2 doors out onto a balcony. The rooms and interior of the whole place is decorated really cool. I would defiantly stay here again if I come back to Capetown in the future.
“Great Captetown Intro”
An African Villa is a great intro to Capetown. The hotel is great, location is good, and the owners are a great source of local information. Keith mapped out a perfect day for us, driving to the Cape of Good Hope, ending at dinner by the waterfront. I'll definitely be back.
“Excellent guest house in Cape Town”
Even though the Hotel is a small guest house, it has almost everything that you would need. In particular the service is spectacular. The people at the reception are amazing, helpful and effective. Their advice on Cape Town sightseeing, restaurants and activities was excellent. The house is well maintained, my room was beautiful and spacious. The house is located closed to many good restaurants and sightseeing places. The breakfast was also very good. My only complain is that the wireless Internet (free) was a bit too slow for me (I tried sending a large file and it was impossible, I had to go to an Internet place at the waterfront and paid to do it. However, for normal email it was o.k.
“African Villa”
Very nice owners. They were extremely helpful in recommending restaurants in the area. Beautiful job in decorating! Only concern was the noise. I am a light sleeper and stationed in building A....I was awaken by kitchen noise in building C. Also the free wifi hardly worked. Good location, great service but maybe a bit overpriced.
