Great location and staff

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The breakfasts were delicious and ample. We used their on-site library for reading material.
Location: The location was strategic to hop on/off bus, downtown, V&A and Greenmarket Square.
We stayed 8 nights. The staff were very friendly and helped book excursions and suggest food options.

Excellent hotel

It is hard to find fault with this hotel. Wonderful restoration of a 1771 building, great location, and very friendly and attentive staff. Minor points for us was the rather outdated television in our room, and the fact that there is no toaster or brown bread in the breakfast room. Those were the only negatives we saw throughout the stay. There is excellent complimentary wifi throughout the building, and done excellent restaurants in the adjoining Heritage Square.

Great Hotel in Downtown Cape Town

Posted May 4, 2014
We had a wonderful stay at the very inviting Cape Heritage Hotel. The staff was very warm & friendly, and the breakfasts were great. The hotel is a short cab ride (also walkable) to the V&A waterfront and and easy walk to a bevy of shops and restaurants. In fact, there were a couple of great restaurants on the same block as the hotel! I recommend this place for any first time visitor to Cape Town.

CENTRAL CAPE TOWN

Posted Apr 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
If you are looking for a charming character hotel in Central Cape Town with easy parking and lots of restaurants within metres not minutes walking then this is for you. On arrival I parked directly outside the hotel in order to find out where the car parking was and to off load my luggage. I then returned and put my hire car in the allocated hotel parking area within a guarded public car park on Shortmarket St, a 2 min walk back.We were shown to our room No 110 which was a spacious, charming room with a view of Table Mountain. However after just 5 mins and before settling in we became aware of the “boom boom boom” of music coming from directly underneath the room through the floor not the window – this was mid afternoon and I was concerned it would get even louder at night. I immediately went to reception and asked for a new room. Reception handled the situation well and showed me to a new room (on the opposite side of the corridor to the original room). The “new” room we stayed in was slightly smaller than room No 110 and did not have a view at all (no great problem with lack of view). It was however totally quiet and remained so all night. The room was immaculate, air conditioned, came with a mini bar fridge, LCD TV, tea/coffee making facilities. The double bed was comfortable. The bath and single sink were in the bedroom whilst a powerful shower and loo were separate in a partially frosted glass enclosure.

Charming Cape Town Four-Star Boutique Hotel

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: The excellent staff and unique hotel property.
Location: Located in Cape Town's City Bowl walking distance to Greenmarket Square, the Parliament, Bo Kaap, and a short cab ride to the V&A Waterfront.
For seasoned travelers looking for an unusual and very satisfying experience in Cape Town's City Bowl, the Cape Heritage Hotel is an excellent small boutique hotel. The property anchors the historic Heritage Square that was built in the 1780's with each of the seventeen rooms having a different floor plan and experience. Tastefully decorated throughout and with modern bathroom features including a large rainfall shower head that is perfect for relaxing after a long flight. The hotel staff is what makes this a great hotel as they are committed to all your needs and are very personal and enjoyable. The Square has several interesting and unique dining options to meet the tastes of most people. My week stay at Cape Heritage has provided me with the best memories of my recent trip to Cape Town.

Second visit. Same attractions of location, attentive staff and unique, boutique character. Can be noisy due to urban location and proximity to restaurants and nightlife.
