Great hotel in cape town

Posted Jun 6, 2014
Pros: What was all the more great was a rooftop bar. It was very cozy place with a pool. We stayed there until it closed.
Cons: None!
Location: The hotel is located near waterfront, like 10 minutes drive from there.
I had a really great stay in this hotel. The entrance was really really gorgeous. I stayed with my girl friend and she was totally amazed at the beauty and atmosphere at the entrance. The receptionists were very kind and friendly. They never forgot smile and made us really comfortable. When we got the room, we were welcomed with tasty treats and local wine. The room was very clean and large. My girlfriend and I highly recommend this hotel, and when we come back to cape town, I will definitely stay there again!!!

Extremely quick but successful trip to Cape Town

Posted Apr 30, 2014
Pros: Location, Positive Staff attitudes, rooms
Cons: Access to Pool and bar area a bit confusing to get there. More information about getting around Cape Town that doesn't include hotel service.
Location: Great location, easy to get on the City tour bus and get around town. Would have liked more tour information with more options.
We had a wonderful experience at your hotel. The only reason I gave you a 4 for the facilities is because we wanted to go swimming in the morning at 8am, we called reception and they said it was open but we had to go up 3 times before someone finally managed to open it for us. Perhaps we were too early for the staff. Location was perfect and your staff very nice and accommodating. We ended up canceling our trip with your staff to Cape Point because the driver was off taking care of some boat. That was disappointing as we only had 3 hours and this change in plans set us back by 30mins that turned out to be very valuable time. We saw what we came to see and hope to return and see more. Thank you for your excellent service and mostly the kindness and positive attitudes of your staff.

Loved this hotel and close to everything

Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Beautiful rooms, close to waterfront, great staff
Location: Close toTable Mountain, Victoria and Alfred Waterfront shops and restaurants, tourist hop on/ hop off bus which takes visitors straight to Table Mount
We stayed in the Cape Royale start of April and booked a 2 bedroom luxury suite as travelling with our son, aged 12. The room was fantastic and so spacious with every amenity required.... and then some!! There was a washing machine/ dryer, coffee machine, microwave in the kitchen, ensuites to both bedrooms and huge living and dining room. The staff are super...smiley, cheery and very professional. 5 star to them alone!! The pool on the roof was a little too cold to dip in but sun beds were comfy with great bar staff serving cocktails. Location was good...even though it doesn't sit right on the waterfront, it is only a 10 minute walk and the restaurants around this hotel are much nicer with better food than those found serving the tourists on the waterfront. And the view ....WOW!!! Loved it...thank you !

Great, safe hotel in a centralized area

Posted Apr 4, 2014
This hotel is in a great central location located diagnol to the Cape Town stadium. 10 minute walk to the V&A Waterfront, and there are several bars and restaurants located next door, and within a short walk on the same street. The hotel is in great shape, everything looked brand new, the rooms were huge, with a comfortable bed. The sky bar and the pool on the roof are also very nice, and offer great views. The staff were great and the valet, porters, and doorman were all prompt, professional and nice. The area is in a safe part of town. My only advice would be to avoid a room on the 8th floor by the stairs leading to the skybar, since this is the only way to access the bar, and you will be woken up by unruly drunk patrons late at night on a friday or saturday night by guests leaving the skybar. Otherwise a great hotel.

Not safe

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: Resteraunt
Cons: Everything honestly
Location: Not bad location
Hotel was good so was the resteraunt and the food and staff in the resteraunt but that's it bar staff rude and haven't got a clue when we asked for change after ordering a drink when the bar had been open three hours we were told they didn't have the key ! Yeah right , security non existant although there's camers every where nobody seems to be monitoring them front of house staff not much better I was told the manager urgently wanted to speak to me about issues as he needed to know this suff so he could improve things he never bothered to turn up at the time arranged even though we waited an hour , sky bar lift is the service lift so you wait ages then travel up with the cleaning staff and all of there tools , our door was opened while we were in there man made an excuse and left quickly room next door called the police suff missing And so on ,do yourself a favour don't go !!!

Quiet luxury, close to the waterfront

Posted Feb 19, 2014
Huge rooms - full kitchen with refrigerator, coffee machine, and even a washer/dryer. The concierge was extremely helpful in getting the most out of our 2 days in Cape Town. Will definitely come back when we return to this incredible city!
