“Wonderful hotel in a wonderful area.”

The first thing I said when I opened the door to my room was "Wow !". I had a Deluxe Suite overlooking the new Century City development. The room was spacious and modern. I loved the bathroom setup, with the glass partitions for the toilet and shower area. The shower was amazing. It made me want to stay there the whole day ! Breakfast was also great, with a good selection of food. I was full until way past lunchtime, and actually skipped a full meal. In a nutshell, the Colosseum Luxury Hotel in Cape Town is one I can easily recommend to anybody, and will definitely be staying there if I visit the Mother City again.

“Business hotel with Table Mountain views”

Typical business class hotel stuff but if you ask for Table Mountain views and weather cooperates then quite spectacula. Vide e Cafe downstairs outside has great coffee, croissant and a smile to boot!

“Good location, and Good service”

This is my 3rd stay at the Colosseum Hotel, and the staff continue to be very helpful and the location is central to many places I visit. The breakfast is always easy and good. The rooms are comfortable and clean - although if you are facing Table Mountain , be prepared for whistling wind noise from your windows or doors if the wind is up. NOT the fault of the hotel, just a fact of mother nature here. Easy access to grocery and fitness across the street. Last point - I highly recommend using the in-house Chinese Massage service, Vivian is a wonderful therapist, and is a wonderful reward after a long flight.

“Safe and sound for a relaxing night”

The hotel is very nice and the front desk staff are very pleasant. The best part about the hotel is the quite at night and its proximity to the mall which is just around the corner. My room didn't have a view of the mountain but there is a balcony by the elevators that has furniture there for an evening view of Table Mountain. Only issue I had was with the serving staff at breakfast. I believe with some minimal coaxing from management the staff can serve all guest equally, for instance I was never offered something to drink once seated but others were catered to almost immediately! The chefs during the week on the other hand were great and took pride in making the meal enjoyable while the weekend there was a drop off. You should have a vehicle to stay at this hotel (parking is secure) and enjoy Cape Town on the whole as there is a lot to see.

“Relatively new hotel next to major retail center”

Relatively new hotel with modern fittings and furnishings. Room lighting is rather dim not ideal for business travellers however great for leisure travellers. The Room I was given had an interleading door into the next suite. Unfortunately you could hear everything next door.

“Mediocrity Has a Name!”

Upn arrival you are met with a mediocre feeling from the entrance, to the check in, to the dimly lit hallway, to the stuffy room (although quite spacious). This medicrity is continued then next morning at the mediocre breakfast and the disinterested staff.........need I say more. Don't get me wrong, it not bad at all, its just not good, in fact its mediocre.
