Very comfortable Guest HousePosted Mar 11, 2014
Cons: Nothing that I can think of
Location: Close to a beach, a shopping centre, various restaurants. Good access to Cape Town, only 15-20 mins away by car.
This is a very pleasant guest house, in an excellent location for us, easy to travel from by car in any direction. Parking facilities good. We were very well received, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast each day, we could choose whatever we wanted, and it was always served up with a smile! There is an excellent pool available, and we made use of it on a couple of occasions. We were grateful to Bettina, the manager, for her help in making our online checkin for our return flight. Altogether we really enjoyed our stay there, and, if ever we do return to South Africa, we would be happy to stay there again.

Our stay over Christmas and New Year 2013/14Posted Jan 7, 2014
Pros: The friendly atmosphere and well run almost Hotel like facilities without the feeling of being in a typically corporate atmosphere.
Cons: Not a great deal frankly! Maybe it might be good to be able to microwave a snack in the rooms and prepare a lunchtime sandwich or similar.
Location: Cape Town is 15 minutes away with all its amenities. Cape Point an hour away, the wine tours & Game Parks no more than two hours drive.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the hospitality offered us by Cotswold House. This is a well run family Guest House with excellent facilities, friendly staff and Owners and is also conveniently close to the beach - a short walk of five minutes. Cape Town is no more than fifteen minutes drive away and there is even a good direct bus connection to the City. The breakfast choices are very enjoyable and the dining areas are fresh and inviting every morning. The two swimming pools on site are both perfect for family breaks, indeed we had our pool to ourselves throughout! Situated where it is Cotswold House offers very convenient driving distances to the key attractions such as the Game Parks and wine tours. So don't hesitate - book now!

Pleasant for a nightPosted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: Good shower and comfortable bed.
Charged extra for late check-in. The caretaker who let me in wasn't the warmest person, but the woman in charge of breakfast was very sweet. I stayed there on a layover, so basically I just slept and left in the morning. The wifi worked well, so I was happy.

Good accommodation great locationPosted Apr 7, 2013
Pros: Good comfortable room, great location
Cons: Shower / bath unable to stand up in same. This was he best room.
Location: Great location however need a car
Good value, great location however owner uses local staff to carry out servicing and provide breakfasts in the Lagoon Lodge. local advice was limited. Did try visiting main house but owner not present. However this in no way detracted from our stay as we had prepared our daily trips in advance.

Amazing hotel for couples.Posted Apr 4, 2013
Amazing place to stay in. Small but very cozy. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Might be a little bit inconvenient for guests that are not couples though, as the shower only has a glass door to keep the water in and you can see the shower from the room.

Pros: the staff improvs breakfast as we asked...
Cons: no shower in the room !
Location: nice and not too far from dountown
Nice and "homy" hotel. Good staff and excelent breakfast. Location is outside the city but eazy to drive dountown. Very nice area, close to the beach. If you make a reservation - be sure you take the room you like: Some of the room do not have a bath or sower!!!
