Close to OR Tambo AirportPosted Sep 30, 2013
Used this hotel for overnight stopover in Johannesburg. Has a garage under room that is accessed directly from unit. Stairs up to unit are steep and there is no elevator so a bit difficult to get luggage up to unit if you have trouble with stairs. Hotel is in fairly decent area, small shops and restaurant with in walking distance. They have free shuttle to airport and will also shuttle you locally for a small fee. Breakfast was available on site but was not open to us because of early flight. Price was reasonable for airport area hotels and served us well.

Nice studio apartment in quiet road.Posted Sep 11, 2013
Poor customer service. I had to wait for 30 minutes for someone to come to reception to check in.

unbelieveable valuePosted Aug 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a phenomenal building in a perfect central location, with a grocery store two blocks away, underground secure parking. Our three-bedroom unit was perfectly decorated and had a fully-equipped kitchen. Good free Internet. I was stunned by how economical it was. I will seek this place next time we visit Cape Town.

Centrally located with all useful amenities. Our stay was comfortable. Would like to suggest that A/C should be extended to Bed Rooms as well. I would recommend it to my friends.

Good Value, but Questionable LocationPosted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel offers a very nice room for the price, but caters more to business travelers. The desk staff offers little more than a place to check-in and check-out. The location is pretty isolated in a city that changes drastically from day to night. After dark, it feels pretty precarious to stay here.

Just an OK stay (visited June 25, 2013)Posted Jul 10, 2013
Pros: I liked how it was not too far from things, just a short taxi ride or about a 20 minute walk.
Cons: The staff knowledge and accommodations can be improved. Having a washer AND Dryer in the room like stated could be improved. Changing the internet
Location: Long street is about 3 blocks up and the waterfront is just a 5 minute taxi. Things are close and easy to get to but are walking distances.
Was pretty easy to find these apartments. When we checked in, I didn't get a real warm friendly service from the registration area. Since these are apartments, others actually live in the building so maybe that's why the registration guy wasn't as cheery. When we entered the room, was a good view and room was a great size. I was pleased with the size of the room. When I reserved the room, there said there was a washer and dryer. I immediately saw there was no dryer which was a major reason I chose this hotel/apartments. The shower was broken so worked horribly. The staff tried to help but just was not that helpful. The description of the apartments said internet was free, well it was free but only 100mb at a time. That was such a hassle and quite annoying to have to physically go downstairs to get more internet passes (since there is no phone in the room). I did not like that at all, having such internet troubles. The room had a little kitchen area which was great and handy. I probably would not stay here again now that I know where this place is located and the neighborhood. I was a little scared walking down the road once it became dark even though it is only 2 block away to the main road. I would stay closer to the Victoria/waterfront area for the same price.

A great choice for de WaterkantPosted Mar 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is conveniently located in the de Waterkant neighborhood, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The condition of the room was good, not excellent, but the only problems were some staining on the couch and out-of-service equipment in the gym. The bed was comfortable and kitchen fully outfitted. The internet situation was a bit frustrating: wifi is offered via 100MB passes which tend to be eaten up rather quickly. Overall, highly recommended for a leisure traveler in Cape Town.

Not impressedPosted Mar 10, 2013
Pros: I liked that it was close Waterkant and V&A. Large spacious rooms, self contained apartment with kitchenette and washing machine and dryer.
Cons: The street is dark and lonely at night, the apartment floor was filthy, beds uncomfortable, no cleaning service on Sundays, reception staff uncaring.
Location: Its in de Waterkant area, but the street feels sketchy at night and it's right off the highway so it's noisy in the mornings.
This hotel is situated right beside a highway so if you're looking for some quiet, I'd suggest you look somewhere else. The street its located on is dark and a bit scary at night because it's a few blocks off the main street, so I wouldn't want to stay there alone. The floor of the apartment was really dirty (couldn't put my bare feet down - since it was gritty and dirty), the pool is small and was dirty - with stuff floating in it, there were only 2 broken lounge chairs beside it and when I asked for other chairs the reception staff on duty didn't help or seem to care. On the plus side, our apartment was big and spacious with 2 bedrooms and very nice bathrooms, and there was good, secure parking, As well it's near the de waterkant area which is full of good restaurants and shops and within walking distance to the V&A.

Good central basePosted Mar 6, 2013
It provided a good central base that was well equipped and comfortable. The only down sides are: 1) The traffic noise. I was in a 2nd floor studio but a larger apartment may be more sound proofed if it has a separate bedroom door. 2) The pool is very small and only gets the sun in the morning. 3) The free wi-fi is run off vouchers that you have to keep asking for but this seems a standard thing in many SA hotels. The hotel was fairly central and as I had a car it was easy to get around as the traffic in most areas was quite light.
