Great hotel, friendly staff

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Comfortable, clean, friendly, smart decor.
Cons: It would be nice if the spa room was not located in reception and if the beautician was in residence for a few hours of the day.
Location: The location is good but my guide book did suggest I did not walk around this area at night. However the tourist bus stop is v close and table mountai
My first visit to Cape Town we stayed in the Hilton for a week. Modern clean design and I understand that it was built in 2010 for the World Cup so the decor and general condition of this hotel is very good. I stayed in a twin room which over looked the pool. Comfortable beds and nicely decorated, with a desk which proved very useful, mini bar and (to me) the all important tea and coffee making facilities. Pretty good room service menu which is not over priced. We dined in both the Indian restaurant and Signal Hill which we liked at it was fairly informal with a varied menu. The breakfast was of an excellent quality. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and could not do enough to please.

Pleasant experience

I was disapointed to be in a Muslin Hotel without knowing. In the Indian restautant I could not have a drink. I don't think it is a right or fair thing to do in an international hotel, unless you had clearly advertise about it and I have chance to decide if I want or not. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

Upscale Feel in Center of Things

Posted Jun 28, 2014
We were very impressed with this hotel. The staff treated us wonderfully and everything about it feels high end. The location is great although we didn't realize that right away, arriving after dark and not knowing the neighborhood, but it's walkable to restaurants, coffee houses, one of the souvenir markets, other walking-type visitor areas and even the Waterfront. (Although taxis are so inexpensive in Cape Town it's worth it after a long day being a tourist to cab it back).

Perfectly situated in Cape Town centre.

Cons: Sometimes funny smell from drain in bathroom
Location: * Table Mountain, Bo Kaap, Big Red Bus, Chapman's Peak, penguins at Boulders, Noordhoek beach, Camps Bay, wineries!, Cape of Good Hope.
We stayed in an Executive suite to spoil ourselves for the last week of our holidays, best decision ever! Our bed was a double queen and so so comfy. In the morning we could slowly wake up with a complimentary coffee on the balcony overlooking the pool. The lounge bar next to the pool was really cool with a great selection of wines - pity they ran out of some of them. Breakfast was just perfect with an amazing arrey of food. You can park in the parking under the hotel but this comes at a price. However, the hotel provides a shuttle to the V&A Waterfront every hour. It barely takes 10 minutes to get there. From the hotel you can also safely walk to Long Street where you'll find cool bars & clubs and good restaurants. Last but not least, the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and the hotel had excellent wifi coverage in all areas.

Great hotel in the City Center

Posted Apr 12, 2014
The hotel is in the city center, close to Bo Kaap, which is in the malay quarters. it felt very safe and we had a room with beautiful views of Table mountain and Lion's head. The room was very beautifully done and comfortable. The staff were an absolute delight. friendly and helpful and relaxed vibe. We ran into an issue with the sink in the bathroom clogging up and it was fixed right away. did not get a chance to use the facilities or go to complimentary cocktail hour but the breakfast buffet we did manage. There was a good variety and food was decent. Great experience!! We would definitely love and enjoy staying there again.

Just what you need

Pros: The location and the staff
Cons: The breakfast was excellent in quality and quantity, but perhaps not very exciting. A bit predictable.
Location: In the city, near Bo Kaap, many museums, shopping and the cbd.
The hotel is well located. The staff were very helpful and obliging.
