Reasonably good hotel in Cape Town downtown.

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Location Friendly staff Clean Quiet Very good special / discount
Cons: Showers: shower screens are not fitted properly - a lot of water goes on the floor of the bathroom
We were on the wine tour, but decided to stay in town. There was a bit of driving to winelands and back, but at least we saw the city as well.

Good hotel, close to CTICC

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: The quietness of the hotel and the staff attitude
Cons: Wish there could be a restaurant within the hotel.
Location: Well, just mentioned earlier that is is close to CTICC the venue of the 2014 International Association for Dental Researchers and to shopping malls.
The hotel was o.k by all standards. The staff were dedicated and courteous. It is close to restaurants and shopping malls.

great location, convenient for shopping and buses

Posted Jun 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
we had a wonderful time, the staff were nice and friendly, hotel location convenient if you don't drive. There's a bus station 5 minutes walk and V&A waterfront, noble square and Aquarium about 20 minutes walk from the hotel. You are also surrounded by shops and bars. The hotel staff where very helpful and polite

Great location, decent mid-range hotel

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: The hotel and rooms could really use an upgrade. Replace the televisions and fix the elevator so it doesn't get stuck on floors.
Location: Long St. is nearby, Cape Quarters,
The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to most things in town so that would be its best asset. There are grocery stores and restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. If you proceed up the hill from Riebeck, you can get to Cape Quarters in about 10-15 minutes, where there are shops and restaurants. The V&A waterfront is about a 30 minute walk. The hotel itself is fine for what it is, but dated. The room was a good size, has most amenities and was comfortable, but the TV is old-style and reception is poor. The elevators are definitely scary. Breakfast is next door and The Kitchen Deli does a nice job.
