The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and I love the decor. My only suggestions are to at least add a curtain/blinds to the bathroom window and a coat rack of some sort. The room I stayed in was at ground level and the bathroom window did not have any blinds or frosted glass. If tall enough, someone passing by through the sevice entrance could see right into the bathroom and the shower. I walked into the bathroom one morning to brush my teeth and found someone cleaning the outside of the window, my privacy felt violated. I rigged a makeshift curtain, but would have rather liked the comfort of knowing that complete strangers could not peep into the bathroom. I would've liked to have had a coat rack or a coat-hook instead of just a closet with some hangers. Their breakfast was more than enough to help kick off a day of exploring Cape Town. The V&A Waterfront is a 30+ minute walk from the guesthouse by way of the promenade and about 10 minutes by taxi. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs within walking distance on the Main Road of Sea Point.

Lovely little place and we really enjoyed it. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was wonderful. Bed was pretty uncomfortable but other than that the room and bathroom was gorgeous. Would definitely go back.

Nice rooms and garden. Great tasting homemade breads at breakfast. Alex and Johann were very helpful and friendly. Lots of unique decorations and antiques. Only negative is the stairs to get to the house and then to the rooms. Not for those with walking difficulties.

My first time in SA and Franschhoek and both Wellington and Lisa made me feel like I was at home. These guys are amazing and Wellington went out of his way to make sure I had everything I wanted.
I don't normally write reviews and booked this on recommendation so its only fair I write a bit too! I stayed in apartment 7 and it is more like a duplex penthouse with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you would need, including washer dryer, oven and fridge / freezer. There is also an iron and board, as well as TV and lounge area, oh and some SA converter plugs in case you forget yours. The apartment is alarmed and security is good too.
On the parking, as I am a petrolhead some of you may find it useful to know the there are a number of secure gated spaces and also lock up garages. Both could comfortable fit sports cars, though I think the lock up may not be able to fit anything wider than the latest 991 generation Porsche - maybe a Turbo :) Also there is a bit of an incline driving into the car park - I think most cars will clear it, but if you have an F40 or Carrera GT you may need to take it at an angle. Hope this helps!
Overall I would say this is one of the best place I have stayed globally - centrally located in Franschhoek and very comfortable and relaxing. If you get a chance visit La Residence and eat at Roca too, plus the other recommended places on The Ivy's list in the room. The food is incredible :)
