How Did It Get 4 * ????Posted May 24, 2014
Room not ready on arrival, cracked tiles in bathroom, curtains with holes and have to ask more than once to get something done. Not currently to international 4 * standards and needs urgent repairs/maintenance.

Perfect location for stay in cape townPosted Mar 29, 2014
This hotel is right next to the beach with great views of table mountain, also good place to watch the sunset. Hotel staff are great and will help you with anything. There are free shuttle services to the V & A waterfront and canal walk which I used quite a lot. Rooms are of a good size and are cleaned to a good standard everyday.

Very Nice Location! Amazing Sunsets!Posted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: Ocean Views, amazing sunsets with Table Mountain in view.
Cons: Fix/ provide WiFi to the Self-Catering Apartments.
Location: Not far from downtown CapeTown- It is helpful to have a car to get around the area.
Our family of 4 (2 Adults/ 2 Children) stayed in a 2-bedroom, self-catering apartment with a view of the sea from our balcony. We enjoyed the location- It was right on the water and very relaxing. We had rented a car which was helpful for getting around to other locations in and around Capetown. However, the hotel did have some shuttle services available as well but we did not utilize them. The room had plenty of space with many amenities available and free secured parking in a garage. The one thing we would change is that they fix/ provide free WiFi in the Apartments. We had to go to the main hotel/ pool area in order to have access to WiFi. Otherwise, we loved our stay at Lagoon Beach. The Hotel Staff were very helpful and even helped fix my son's glasses during our stay. Nightly we enjoyed amazing ocean sunsets with Table Mountain in view. We enjoyed seeing seals from the beach in the evening jumping the waves

Excellent locationPosted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Most of the staff were very welcoming.
Cons: At one point a couple of days went by without the pool being cleaned and it did get quite dirty!
Location: The free bus to the V&A Waterfront is excellent. The waterfront is an excellent place to go for restaurants and bars and shopping.
This is our second visit to Lagoon Beach Hotel. Its excellent location on the beach and the fact that it runs a free shuttle bus to the waterfront is a bonus. We were however disappointed that it took over 3 hours for someone to come and fix the safe in our room! The staff at La Mizu beach bar were excellent and some even recognised us from last year! We would go back again.

Nice hotel but too far away from attractionsPosted Mar 5, 2014
The hotel was really nice, clean and comfortable and the taxi service was effective but a lot more expensive than just booking a taxi all the attractions were too far away and the beach seemed far to empty.

Great views of Table BayPosted Feb 10, 2014
Great hotel for views to Table Mountyain. Ask for an Ocean View room or simply walk out to the beach side of the hotel! Clean rooms, very comfortable etc. Great base to get in and out of cape Town easily. ( 15 min drive ).

nice changePosted Jan 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was on a 7 day business trip and able to spend 4 days at lagoon and 3 at the westin hotels. The lagoon staff and atmosphere was relaxed and professional. Quality was fine in every respect. The huge bonus was that the hotel is on the beach so you could always see and hear the ocean. Absolutely fantastic if you want that sort of thing (which I did). So top marks for everything. The only downside was that there is virtually nothing nearby - no shops or restaurants -- with the exception of a fantastic Thai restaurant a stone's throw away. Between the Thai and the hotel restaurant and bar, it was perfect for me. It's a 10 minute taxi (about £8) into the city centre. Work commitments meant I needed to be in the city centre later in the week so ideal to compare. For me, I'd have chosen the lagoon hotel every time. Last, the weather was great. If it's windy or chilly, I don't think I'd have been so happy!

Beautiful location but disappointingPosted Jan 6, 2014
Cons: Cleanliness of the the surrounding including passageways, escalators, pools and the beach
Location: close to cape town
The hotel location is excellent. We have stayed here previously and were very happy with it. This time round we found it rather disappointing. The pools were dirty and so was the beach. I do understand the later is for public use but since this hotel is literally on this beach - they could do something to clean it up. The 2 bedrooms apartments are beautiful and neat. The passage ways are dirty and not maintained and the hotel staff are rather oblivious to this. We reported a 'unsightly mess' on the staircase to reception and they did not bother to get it sorted. Overall I wouldn't stay there again.

Pros: Newly refurbished rooms to a higher standard than expected, friendly and helpful staff, great views, good food and a good nights sleep.
Cons: Swimming pools are fairly unimpressive and not enough to do at night.
Location: The hotel is approx. 8 km from central Cape Town. Hotel runs a complimentary shuttle to V&A waterfront or a cab is approx. £10 e/w.

It is good hotel but we face a problemPosted Nov 8, 2013
Location: The location is good between the waterfront and Canal walk mall.
The hotel is good, but we face a problem the size of the room not same what I select from the website, and I register for 1 king bed but the give me twin bed and they said if I need king bed they can put the beds on behind. and they didn't fix this problem.
