Beautiful beachside position with great viewsPosted Mar 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was great, staff efficient, great views over Bay to Capetown, beach was clean and sandy but the location was a bit isolated, only one other restaurant in walking distance, closest to drive to about 3km. No elevator was a problem with bags.

The only thing that I did not like was that the wireless internet was not provided with the room, you had to pay an extra charge for it and it was more than I had paid anywhere else in South Africa, I stayed at a different hotel for a week and the wireless was free of charge. This was important to me being my first visit as I wanted to do some research.

A memorable experience!!!Posted Sep 10, 2010
Away from the hustle of Cape Town but close enough to grab a cab and be in the city within 15 minutes. The hotel was very accomodating and offered the comfort and relaxation that I was looking for. Breath-taking views as well as a very receptive staff. If there is a negative, the restaurant could offer more of a variety of selections as I found the menu a little weak. All around though I would recommend this hotel to those who do not want to be too close to the city center. There was one area that the management could improve. There was an incident in my room on the second night and I had to change rooms at 4:30 am. Not one mention from the staff to see if everything was all right once the dust settled. Not that I was looking for anything but there wasn't even any offer of some sort of compensation for the inconveniance that this had caused.

Leisure Bay Luxury Suites Cape TownPosted Aug 22, 2010 on Hotels.com
This is not a traditional hotel. It seems to be apartments where some are rented as hotel rooms. The location is about 20 minutes outside of the city center. It was nice to be on the water but having to take long drives to get places was annoying. The room was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. I wouldn't stay there again but I wasn't unhappy with the hotel. If it were more centrally located I would consider returning. The suite worked well considering we were traveling with 2 children ages 3 and 7. You must have a rental car if staying at this property.

Best Holiday and Can't wait to go backPosted Feb 23, 2010
Although we arrived before the check in time, reception provided free refreshment and moved us into a temporary room until our room was ready. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite. Everything in our room was perfect except the lighting in the bathroom was bit dull and TV in the room was old and very small. Service was excellent and freindly staff went out of their way to get things done (for eg. making sure we were able to watch live coverage of Cricket). Breakfast selection was limited for vegetarians. The location is superb, right on the beach front with a wonderful view of Table Mountains and Robben Islands. The taxi into city centre was expensive so the hotel should provide a shuttle service. Overall we were very happy with our stay at Leisure Bay and do intend to visit again.

FANTASTIC VIEWS OF TABLE MOUNTAINPosted Jan 28, 2009 on Hotels.com
You definately need a car as this hotel is a little way out of the city. Having said that its a really easy journey into the city and to the V & A. Canal Walk which is fabulous for shopping is less than 10 minutes drive away. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking Table Bay and Table Mountain. The beach isn't that nice but the the views are amazing! Breakfast buffet caters for everyone with a good variety of foods. The staff are wonderful, everyone was very warm, welcoming and friendly. The only real downside is that the bedrooms are a bit small.

Deceiving location - don't be put offPosted Jun 12, 2008
Approached bordered by the railway and industrial units, the complex fronts the beach and views of central Cape Town and Robbin Island. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms a good size, well appointed.Daily service, food reasonable. Daily parking charge. For a relaxing break on the beach but close to amenities this is a choice location. Would I return? Definately, but you do need a car.
