Beautiful mountain views

We loved this hotel. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was tranquil, with lovely gardens and wonderful views of the mountains. Our room was perfect and had a balcony. We stayed three nights and wish it could have been longer.

Bit of a hit and miss
Posted Jan 5, 2012 on Hotels.com
Just stayed in March when it's nice and hot in Capetown. Pool is very small, infact it's a pond. There is potential to build a bigger pool which would make the place better as it's away from it all. The staff are very friendly which compensate the kinda of run dcown house. We got better value for money at other hotels than this one. There is no ridge inthe room either!Helllooooo It's ok for a stop over I guess

Tarragona Lodge, Cape Town
Posted Jan 2, 2011 on Hotels.com
This is a very peaceful spot in a lovely setting, backing up to the indigenous woodlands. The room opens out onto a lawn with guinea fowl and hadedahs venturing out from the vegetation. It is low key but very well run with friendly, helpful and unobtrusive staff. This is exactly what you want from your lodgings - all too often, gripes and small irritations can take the good out of your trip. I stay in and around Cape Town 3 to 4 times a year. I usually stay in mid-sized 4 star hotels. I must say that in its price range this stay has been the most comfortable and hassle-free of any I can recall. Also, better value. AND the internet access is actually free where in most other places that advertise it as such, you discover on arrival that you have to pay extra. Well done Tarragona!

This place is awesome! Quite a bit out of the way from the city center, but a very tranquil environment that was perfect for getting work done. Staff is very attentive and personal, and the breakfast, bar, and internet connection were everything i could hope for. i got a great deal through Expedia and was overwhelmed by how amazing the lodge was given what i paid. i love this place and will definitely be back next time i'm in Cape Town..
