Close to most amenities with easy access to town c

Pros: The biggest asset this hotel has is its staff. They were all friendly and helpful and made a point of getting to know guests.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Almost on the V&A Waterfront with its wealth of tourist attractions, restaurants and bars. Easy access to all other areas - ferry to Robben Island
We stayed 6 nights and the experience was good from airport pickup to departure. Were able to access most tourist sights from where we stayed. Hop-on Hop-off bus is a good option for a couple of days. Provides cheap and easy way to see city centre and immediate area. Would recommend the route that takes in wine tours! Hired a private car and driver for two days to see Cape Point area and Simons Town, and then for a tour of Stellenbosch area. The cost is very reasonable.

A comfortable Hotel in Cape Town's Waterfront

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: Location, location and location.
Cons: The Bathtub showers. The glass partition needs to be fixed to avoid the bathroom getting wet and the toilet paper holder needs to be relocated.
Location: Restaurants and shopping and other tourist activities.
My wife and I visited Cape Town for 4 days at the end of our holiday in Zimbabwe, Botswana and and South Africa. The Commodore is a very comfortable hotel to stay in, a short walk to all the restaurants, shopping and activities in the waterfront The staff are pleasant and very helpful. At our request we were given a 4th floor room with a balcony facing the Table Mountain which made our stay all the more memorable. The buffet breakfast with its omelette station which was included in the tariff was more than adequate.

Excellent location

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: We really liked the breakfast.
Cons: air conditioner (super noisy) and bathroom
Location: Location was perfect. Walking distance to the Waterfront shopping, restaurants, cafes, specialty shops, and boat trips.
The location was perfect. Walking distance to the Waterfront shopping, restaurants, cafes, and boat trips. The breakfast was excellent with variety of food and drinks. The room was a bit less spacious than I would expect. I would suggest to the management to check on level of noise coming from air-conditioner. Luckily in May the temperature was not too high and we did not use much the air- conditioner. Otherwise we would have to request to relocate us. The other thing was a bit disappointing that taking shower was related to leaking water on the floor in the bathroom. I have also noticed that the carpet in the room was not vacuumed properly and did not look tidy. The patio was very nice and we had a pleasant time having our breakfast outdoor. We really liked the idea that we could checked out in the morning but kept our luggage till evening. Also before leaving we had a chance to use Change Room and take a shower. Overall it was a very nice hotel, I would definitely come back.
