a very basic hotel - furniture and lighting is minimal - no desk or chair in room only small enclosed balcony with 2 straight chairs but clean bathroom and a friendly staff. good buffet breakfast. 20 minute pleasant walk through company gardens past museums to business/shopping center but long walk to waterfront and tourist area.

Homely accommodation at a very reasonable pricePosted Dec 6, 2012
Dionne and the other staff were extremely friendly and mega helpful. We loved our room, which also included a balcony. We would definitely go back and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Great place for active enquiring visitorsPosted Sep 19, 2012
Pros: Large comfortable bedroom, art deco furniture, sunny verandah easy access to Company Gardens and city centre - quiet atmosphere and very helpful staff
Cons: Can't think!
Location: Terrific quiet location within 5 minutes walk of the lovely Company Gardens and good restaurants in Kloof - very safe and friendly environment
Impressed from the start - terrific quiet location within 5 minutes walk of the lovely Company Gardens and good restaurants in Kloof, helpful, welcoming staff, large well-appointed garden room, great breakfast (fresh juices, fruits, muesli, breads and cold air-cured meats) - what more could one want! Safe parking in front for those with cars and 5 minutes walk from main bus route to centre, Sea Point and circum-peninsular hop-on hop off bus - couldn't be bettered for transport (30 minutes from airport).

The Fritz was wonderful. We had a nice stay - the employees are polite and helpful, and free breakfast is very good. The hotel is also located close to the city center, and makes exploring easy.
