Great hotel, close to beach, near bus stopPosted Apr 28, 2014
Hotel was excellent. Our double room was upgraded to a two floor "penthouse" which was great as kids slept on sofa bed on lower floor and we had double bed upstairs. Self catering facilities. Air con and good views of sea and Lions Head. Breakfast in hotel good - buffet style, kids eat free. Tried to walk locally to find breakfast one day but nothing available. Hotel has bar with modest evening food selection. Good décor throughout. Staff incredibly helpful - printed out my Robben Island electronic tickets and boarding passes and helped when I left camera memory card in hotel safe at end of trip. Bus stop for open top bus tour 10metres away, Queens Beach bus station for travel along coast Camps Bay to Waterfront 30metres away. Buy pre paid bus card there. Parking secure in hotel. Pool small but adequate and seemed barely used by other guests so we had it to ourselves.

Great rooms, very clean, comfortable & stylish, balcony, two bathrooms with bedroom upstairs & large sofa bed downstairs, Good kitchen facilities. Staff friendly & helpful, they don't do a late check out though. Small pool but gets the sun & the BEST sun loungers. Good location one street from beach road with supermarket & restaurants within walking distance. Would highly recommend

Very close to various beachesPosted Jan 28, 2014
Pros: Unpacked my suit case and felt so happy stepping out onto the balcony looking at the ocean so close.
Location: Close walk to beach, many shops on the door step and lots of cafe and restaurants too. Bus stop just along the way to take you to other areas .
A very warm welcome on arrival, staff available for every need. Rooms very comfortable, great to have the cooking facilities there should you require them. Lovely pool with excellent sun loungers to relax on.

Very comfortable hotel in excellent locationPosted Jan 28, 2014
Pros: Location and room size
Cons: Water pressure in showers, bathroom fixtures, kids television channel
Location: It's on the border of Bantry Bay and Sea Point. Exceptionally well positioned to stroll along Atlantic Seaboard, nip into town and enjoy the surrounds
Very pleasant stay on the whole, suite room worked well for family of four (2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant). No TV channel relevant for our two year old daughter, the water pressure was weak and intermittent in the shower, and the bathroom looks like it was last redecorated in the 80's. However, those are minor gripes we can live with. We certainly feel we got value for money, it exceeded expectations on the whole and we'd certainly stay here again!

Pros: Convenience, views, size of rooms.
Location: The hop on hop off bus tour stops at the corner. The ocean walk way is very close by. There are restaurants and stores within walking distance as well
Upon arrival we were informed that the hotel had not received our booking. It had been done weeks in advance I had a booking numnber. We were upgraded to a penthouse suite. The suite was very nice, but the AC didn't work. The staff for the remainder of our stay was exceptionally pleasant. They made every attempt to make sure our stay was nice and we were pleased. The conceirge arranged for a great safari. The hotel is convenient to all the things we wanted to do and you get a nice view of the bay area. We got off to a shaky start but after getting into a room, the rest of stay was enjoyable. There were sleeping accomadations suitable for a family and 2 bathrooms which was very nice.

Hotel beach accessPosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: if you are looking for simply beach access this hotel is in a good location
Cons: A drawback - information about Cape Town is only available online so know what you plan to do before you arrive. Internet service is charged by the m
I traveled to Cape Town for just a two day stay. The facilities were okay as this is an older hotel but well maintained. Breakfast is suitable as a buffet is provided and allows a quick in and out if you visiting attractions in the area.
