Beautiful hotel.Posted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: The spa was unbelievable. I will be thinking about their treatments for some time to come.
Location: If you are not driving you are relatively isolated. However there are cars available from the hotel that can take you to nearby shopping areas.
The hotel was beautiful. Furnishings in the room were beautiful and original. The artwork on the hotel walls was outstanding. The staff were very responsive to all you possible needs.

What a treatPosted Sep 19, 2013
Pros: The overall ambiance is great. The Vineyard is almost 200 years old, so you get a sense of history, although the accommodations are fully modern.
Cons: The internet could be slow, and the rooms got a bit chilly (then again, we were visiting in winter).
Location: Beautiful grounds backing onto Table Mountain. The hotel is a bit far from town; if you don't have a car, you'll want to master the shuttle schedule.
We LOVED our stay at the Vineyard Hotel. It is a beautiful property in a delightful setting. The breakfast buffet is first-class, and we enjoyed the free wine tastings in the early evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is my second stay here and I love it! Superb grounds, good gym, pool etc and excellent restaurant. Just 20 minutes from the airport ( with a mad taxi driver) and about the same from the Waterfront, it is very convenient. A special mention for the brilliant service in the restaurant.

Pros: The staff, the dining, the beds, cleanliness.
Location: Lovely leafy suburb location and excellent for proximity to Newlands Stadium.
My friend and I had the most excellent, comfortable stay here. My only regret is that we stayed only one night. Every single member of staff we encountered were a credit to the hotel - but especially the guest relations and reception staff. Professional and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. It was like they were on a mission to exceed our expectations at every turn. We were upgraded upon arrival. When we popped out in the afternoon the staff left champagne and a lovely note in the room as they knew it was my friend's birthday. Then later in the evening when they turned down the beds they left chocolates on the pillows for us. The room itself was lovely, overlooking the courtyard. The beds were ever so comfortable and the bathroom spacious and immaculately clean. We sampled the food at lunchtime. Despite having a heavy cold I still enjoyed the exquisitely presented belly pork dish which just melted in my mouth. And the following morning we were impressed with the range and quality of breakfast options...and again with the attentive staff who appeared to anticipate our every need but without appearing overbearing. We will be talking about this stay for a long time and hope to return again.

Great Hotel in Cape Town SuburbsPosted Jul 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed at the Vineyard for 5 days while attending conference at UCT. Overall, I felt this hotel to be an excellent value. Good service, clean and new-feeling rooms. The restaurant was very good, and included breakfast was particularly impressive. A ways outside of town but convenient to UCT and within walking distance to train station.

A welcome break in Cape TownPosted Jun 11, 2013
This was a repeat visit having spent our honeymoon here. We were delighted that the hotel has lost none of it's charm and quality in the intervening time. The staff are thoughful, polite and helpful no matter what time of night or day. The location is ideal for those looking to explore the wider area and for anyone wanting to escape the tourist trap of the waterfront. The gardens epitomise peace and tranquility and it is sometimes hard to believe how conveniently located you are. The breakfast is superb and locals travel from far and wide to enjoy it so make sure you claim your table early on the weekend!

Pros: Quality of food was excellent, you could dress casually for dining very easy going sort of place.
Cons: None very satisfied
Location: Short walk to shops, you do need transport though when visiting other locations. Great view of table mountain.
