Wow! What an amazing place. It's a mini paradise. Wonderfully decorated. Every member of staff we came into contact with could not have been more helpful and friendly. Food was amazing. Could not recommend this place more, it is a little hidden gem.

Fall asleep listening to the wavesPosted Jul 17, 2014
Cons: There are only two outlets in the room and they are occupied. One of the outlets has a two outlet adapter. But both are needed.
I loved staying here and extended my stay by a few days. I feel as though I'm staying at our family villa overlooking the sea. Breakfast and service are excellent. The manager, Domenique goes well out of her way to assist you. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The staff were not familiar with the location of places to visit and did not greet us in a manner fitting of a 4 star hotel. The room was very large and nice and the rest of the facility was also very nice. Nice view of the ocean as well from the balcony. Great breakfast.

Gem in Simons TownPosted Feb 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
We really enjoyed our stay at the Whale View Manor Guest House! This bed and breakfast is very cute and nicely decorated, the staff was friendly, breakfast was great, and we really enjoyed the decor of our room (each room is different, we had room 2) and the view of the ocean. We were only here for 1 night, but would have liked to have stayed longer!

Great view of the whalesPosted Nov 27, 2012
Pros: Very friendly staff
Great hotel, all the staff and the owner very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 1 which was huge with a great balcony viewing the bay and passing whales. During our stay the wind was blowing hard and some traffic noise in the morning so a bit noisy, however great overall.

Delightful Getaway in Simon Town, SAPosted Jan 3, 2012
Pros: Comfort and location.
Cons: Nothing, we could not have asked for a better stay.
Location: Great location across from the beach and close enough to be in town in a short time even by walking.
My husband and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay at Whale View Manor. The hotel is clean and comfortable and has a breathtaking view of the ocean. The breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, toast and mushrooms were delicious and filling. The staff, especially Jimmy and Jackson, were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The owner, Dominque, was very accessible and ready to give us tips on what to see in the area and helped make transport arrangements. The beach is just across the road and the penguin colony is just minutes away. We did not rent a car but like to walk. We were able to walk into Simon Town in less than 30 min. and restaurants and the penguin colony are only about a 15 min. walk from the hotel. We can't wait to return.
