“Wonderful hotel”

We stayed at this hotel in April 2006 and had a truly wonderful stay. The hotel is beatifully furnished with an art deco theme, the staff working at the hotel could not have been more friendly or more helpful and the location of the hotel could not have been better. If you are looking to stay in Cape Town then this is the hotel to choose.

“A Gem in Central Cape Town”

I stayed at this hotel the week it opened. It is in a convenient central location (the Company's Garden's are a block away, the Long Street area is a 5 minute walk, the Waterfront is a short drive or cab ride (30 minutes walk)) that is pedestrian friendly during the day. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and the staff goes out of its way to make you feel like family (it is a family run business). Central Cape Town is in the process of being redeveloped, and the Cape Diamond is a delightful addition to the process.

“Cape Town Test Match”

Visiting Cape Town to watch the test match. Small friendly hotel with great staff. Breakfast was included and pretty decent grub. Area seemed quite safe never felt threatened and it is well situated in the town. Really needs air con in public and bedrooms, it was scorching hot while we stayed and sleeping was a bit tricky,

“Good location”

The hotel is well situated for the shops and museums, all of which are within a few minutes walking distance. Staff are very helpful but if you want to check out at 5am settle the bill the night before as the night staff do not know how to use the credit card machine. Long Street (10 mins walk)is a good place for restaurants and night life.

“Great stay!”

We had a great stay. The staff were very professional. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. We had a slight problem with our first room, in that it was really hot (they really should consider putting AC in that room), but the staff moved us to another room right after we mentioned it.

“Superb hotel in central location”

This hotel offers everything,it's central location makes an ideal base for a holiday. The staff bend over backwards to help you and are extremely friendly. The cleanliness of the hotel is superb, the rooms are comfortable and well presented. The food is excellent with something to suit all tastes.
