“revolving hotel”
See Point region is very modern part of the city Ritz Hotel has an eagle view at the sea point to the atlantic ocean and to the mountains. very good panorama. Bus station is in front of the hotel.
“Fair for the money.”
Hotel was a good value, clean, efficient and in a good area to see the sights of SA.
“Good location by the sea.”
We had a bright room with windows that opened from which we could see the sea and the mountain. We could even see the mountain from the shower! A desk and chair made comfortable working conditions. The neighborhood had a selection of comfortable restaurants and bars, and the beach promenade was just several blocks away. It was beautiful at sunset. We used a taxi to get to the center city; it was a bit too far to walk.
“Not the best hotel to stay in Cape town”
Good prices, 3-4 miles from the city center, bar is not good, wine house downstairs is good, the rooms beside elevators are extremely noisy, Internet is really expensive, car park is affordable, no public transportation to and from. Higher floor rooms offer a good view especially table mountain side. Try staying in waterfront or city center area.
“Excellent Location in Sea Point Area near Ocean”
The Ritz is located in an excellent area of Sea Point within walking distance to area restaurants and the ocean. The hotel itself is nice: good food in the restaurants and a nice pool and deck area. The hotel rooms were average, but clean. The views from this high rise hotel are incredible. For the value, I would highly recommend staying at the Ritz. Excellent value with an excellent location.
“Not fancy but a good value for your money”
None of my room requests were answered: Asked for high floor ocean view - got 5th floor swimming pool view. Asked for refabrished room - got and old room with uncloseable closet doors. Asked for a non-smoking room - got a smoking room. The walls are thin - I couls perfectly hear my next room neighbours. Breakfast was very nice. Good service.
“Excelent value for price paid”
The hotel is excelent although it is becoming a little to old.
“It really isn't the Ritz Carlton”
The hotel had a bad smell that permeated the building, but I got used to it after a couple of days. The hotel staff was friendly. The location was near the waterfront and public transportation, so that was good. The first night I stayed they gave me a room without a working toilet, but they gave me another room after I complained. The price was good but you really do get what you pay for, next time I will pay a little more for a better hotel. I spent two weeks there and I wouldn't do it again.
“Outstanding bargin”
For the price, this hotel is a bargain. It is centrally located and the staff is very helpful.
“terrible”
A lot of second-hand smoke in the room. Tobacco smoke bugs me and my wife. It was terrible. All hotel staff and managers readdress my discontent to the next person.
