“Very welcoming, no hairdryer, dodgy shower.”

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Welcome drink and facilities for coffee/ tea/ rusks made it feel even more welcoming, free internet access and computers was really helpful. Although the rooms advertise the availability of a hairdryer, this was not actually possible when I needed it as the hotel's own did not have a South African plug or necessary adaptor - mystified about why this wasn't remedied. Had I known this I would have brought my own. I stayed in two different rooms - the shower in "Being Mak One" is unusable - the shower head is broken and the water shoots out like a torture instrument, I really hurt myself on this.

“Quirky backpacker rather than boutique hotel”

Shower very small. The lights in the room were temperamental. No breakfast facility.
