“Just what I needed”

I needed some R&R and I wanted something calm, urban and close to attractions, but I didn't want to stay in a mid-range hotel. For me Harbouredge was perfect. I felt at home in a sleek, modern, comfortable and fully furnished apartment. I didn't try the restaurant, but it looked very high-end. In terms of service, all I wanted them to do was clean my room, arrange for a taxi or tour from time to time and otherwise stay out of my way, and they were very accomodating and friendly in doing so. Also, it is very secure and the local Police Station is just accross the street. I'm looking forward to going back.

“A home away from home”

Great location, very handy for the V and A. Would definitely recommend self-catering here - free car parking too!

“First Class”

Harbouredge is a first class apartment complex. Tha accomodation is comfortable, modern and affordable. It is within easy day-time walking distance and night-time taxi distance of the V & A Waterfront. Pool is small but ok for morning sun. The ground floor car showroom is both impressive and reassuringly secure.

“Excellent Studio appartment”

The appartment we stayed in was extremely comfortable and very well equipped with satalite TV, washing machine, cooker etc all of which looked new. There were only two things that were misleading in the hotel information and that was it wasn't a 1 bedroomed appartment but a spacious studio and the 5 minute walk to the V&A is only to the outer perimeter fence of the docks. It actually takes 15-20 to walk to the V&A Shops/restaurants. Other than that I couldn't fault it and it was very central to all the attractions in Cape Town.

“Certainly recommend but remember it is a self contained apartment”

It is important to remember that this is a self contained apartment and not a hotel. As far as we were concerned we got the advantages of a suite ( and more)at much less than equivalent hotel prices. Rooms are very well appointed and serviced daily (except Sundays) and arrangements are readily available for meals/ shopping to be delivered or are within comfortable walking distance.

“Decptive description”

The apartment is clean,spacious and well appointed with free underground parking but overlooks a main road and is therefore noisey. Although it claims to be 5 minutes walk from the waterfront the receptionists admit that it is a 20 minute walk

“A good value, but NOT a real 4-star”

Some friends and I recently stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment at the Harbouredge. The location is really great (just a few minutes from the V&A Waterfront), the apartments are nicely furnished, and it is a good value in general and I would recommend it. Just a word of warning: this is NOT a 4-star hotel. It is a condo complex with a few units that they rent out. There is virtually no service (the hotel representative shows up in the afternoon only once to check in guests, there is no concierge, etc). So be prepared to be on your own - but the great views and location, in our minds, made up for this.

“This is an apartment, not a hotel”

This property should not be categorized as a hotel, rather, an apartment. There is a front desk, however there is no one available to assist. There are 2 security guards always available. On the first day in this hotel, i had no hot water...for the entire stay during this hotel, i could not operate the TV. In a normal hotel, you would call the front desk if you had some problems. When the room was cleaned, the only thing that was done was the duvet was pulled up and towels were changed. The floor was not cleaned, the sheets where not changed, nor were any dishes rinsed. During my stay I was asked if a real estate agent could show my room to a potential buyer. Although very convenient, I would not recommend this hotel/apartment
