“Faultless accommodation and service”

Excellent hotel with every attention paid to detail. We received splendid hospitality and assistance with making bookings for local attractions. Room was everything we expected and we could not fault the accommodation or service in any way.

“Excellent Find”

A very nice Guest House, in lovely suyrroundings with magnificent views over the lagoon. The owners could not be more helpful. The location is a short distance from the watefront with a good choice of resturants. Would like to go back.

“Lovely, friendly 7-roomed guest house”

Lovely little place, just a 10 min walk outside Knysna. One of the owners will come out and greet you as you park your car - Sit you down with a cool drink and face cloth, and answer any questions you may have about dinner or Knysna itself. Was expecting much less for the money paid.

We had a great time at Hide away. The service was really personal - there was a personalised breakfast menu and we got some excellent recommendations on how to make the most of our time in Knysna. Overall, a lovely guest house - we would definitely go back. Definitely worth going for a 'lagoon view' room - the view is impressive and sitting on the balcony is really relaxing

“Wonderful stay”

We had a wonderful stay at the Hide Away. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a beautiful view from our porch overlooking the Lagoon. The owners were very efficient and accomondating resulting in a very pleasant stay.

Very nice and helpful owners. They took time to drink a coffee with us when we arrived and talk with us every morning but not too much. We felt more than welcome. The place is nice and clean too, and the price was fair. They know very well the area too so they could give us good advices and even provided a map.

Very welcoming on arrival and very helpful throughout our 2 day stay.Large room and bathroom, and view of Knysna Heads from our window/patio. A great base for the Garden Route.

From the moment we arrived, we had a delightful visit. The accommodations are top-notch, the view is stunning, and the owners were very helpful with suggestions for sight-seeing and meals. We had two excellent dinners at local restaurants and the owners even threw in a coupon for one. I highly recommend the 'Hide Away Guest House' and will definitely stay there again on a return visit.

“Extremely Impressed”

This was a fantastic Guest House. After a long drive from Cape Town we were welcomed by fantastic hosts who offered us a very much needed cup of coffee or tea. Colleen and Cecil then proceeded to give us suggestions of restaurants and places to visit which was a great help when you only have 2/3 days in an area. The room was huge and very comfortable with a superb view of the estuary. Breakfast was served on our verandah each morning with the sun shining. The pool was lovely and the deck area has sun in the morning and much needed shade later in the afternoon. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back next year.

“The best guest house we stayed in”

This was not an hotel but an owner occupied house with extremely attentive and caring owners. Hideaway Guest House was in a beautiful position overlooking the lagoon. We were greeted with hot flannels on arrival before we were given tea or coffee. We were supplied with bathrobes and slippers and the bedroom was large and well fitted. Breakfast was included in the price - contrary to the information we had received.
