“Will definitely go back”

Loved everything about our holiday. The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. We couldn't of asked for anymore, can't wait to visit again.

“Wonderful experience.”

Lagoon Beach Hotel is the same as the photos online. We paid a little extra for a beach & table mountain view and it was worth every penny. The view is truely amazing from the balcony. We had a Deluxe King room, which was modern, comfortable and clean. Sheets and towels were changed daily. There was also settee/table/chair. Flat screen tv on the wall. Air conditioning. Fridge for guest use. Safe. Seperate large shower/seperate bath and seperate toilet. The service in the hotel was very good. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was included and was very nice. There was also a free transfer to Victoria & Albert waterfront (book in advance).

“Loved the views!”

The views of Table Mountain and the ocean from this hotel are just fantastic. It is truely a beachfront property. The hotel itself is of a good standard too.

“Something special”

Can't really fault this hotel one bit except for the location from Cape Town CBD. But that can be a bonus depending on how you look at it. Absolutely fantastic staff that are always friendly and helpful. Extremely clean hotel to almost hospital standards. Room was absolutely what we needed after a very long flight from Malaysia. They didn't have our room ready so they upgraded us to a larger room which was just the iceing on the cake. Bar staff were great and super friendly and they know how to mix a drink. Overall no complaints. Don't know whether it's just standard Cape Town hospitality or these guys just know how to do it right but I won't question it. Well done.

“The best location ever!”

We have stayed in hotels all around the world the Lagoon Beach Hotel had perhaps the best view of anywhere we've stayed. The photos on their website showing the beach and Table Mountain was the exact same view from our balcony. That said, apart from the magnficent view, the hotel is okay. Decent food, decent bar area, small-ish pool, good breakfast (but not enough tables) a bit away from Cape Town centre (but they do offer a free shuttle bus - which is not that reliable we found.) Overall though, I would highly recommend this hotel, if only for the setting.

“Exceeded expectations!!”

The views from this hotel are amazing! We read that it was a beautiful perspective of Cape Town, but it was nicer than suggested. Staff were helpful. There is safe, underground parking in their garage. Restaurant is better than expected. The complimentary breakfast is fabuous. Nicer than the meals on our cruise!! The staff bent over backwards to allow us an early check in. The beach and view are very special.

“great service”

We were initially in a comfortable but small room at the back of the hotel, however when I asked the reception if we could have a free upgrade as it was my birthday they happily obliged and we were placed in an room with stunning view of the swimming pool and Table mountain. The breakfast was hearty and the cook always cooked our omlette and halal sausages separately for us.

Outstanding service at Lagoon Beach Hotel. I would recommend it to anyone, anytime, anywhere.

“Excellent staff, but poor booking......”

Excellent stay, the only problem I reserved a deluxe room and the first night, they put us in a standard, overbooked. They wanted us to wait two nights for the right one, but my husband complained every time we passed the front desk.....so it was only one night. The partial beach view was barely a view.... But we said the heck with it.....the staff was so nice, it was hard to stay upset. Many others had the problem, as well......

“trip to cape town”

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lagoon beach. We would give it 10 out of 10 if not for a few niggly issues. There were some really good staff but over all the level of service received on all fronts was pretty inconsistent. Being from South Africa myself I was quite surprised at how many of the staff couldn't understand me never mind my Scottish husband. I loved this hotel and will return but they could do with stepping up on their staff development. Reception staff were not the friendliest bunch, bar staff were excellent with the odd exception, waiting staff were laid back but mostly efficient again with the exception of some, the F & B manager Andrew was exceptional and very welcoming. Room was lovely, any complaints re maintenance was sorted promptly and efficiently. Over all a great place to stay. Very windy at times in that area but will not deter us from returning.
