“Impressive”

I would recommend this hotel to all. It is quite new and the breakfast room is very pleasant and the people serving were quite efficient. I also like the friendliness of the people at the reception and business centre. On the whole. my Capetown experience was quite positive.....I love the town!

“Ok, but not great.”

Situated on the LongStreet, Mandela Rhodes is perfect for a vacation or business trip. Big and comfortable rooms, excellent room service and very helpful staff make the stay enjoyable. There is also a safe in every room which is essential in SA. There is a pool (which unfortunately is not temperature controlled) and a good gym. The terrace restaurant is great with outside and inside seating. However, it is right next to the pool, which may feel awkward for someone swimming. The quality of breakfast leaves much to be desired. Omelettes are horrible and the selection of fresh fruits is minimal. Staff is extremely helpful though. They provide guidance on tours. But the clerks on the reception desk have no knowledge about the time it will take to go to various places within the city. I booked a cab 45 min in advance on the advice of the receptionist, but reached my destination in 20 min. All-in-all, The hotel is okay, but not fantabulous.

“Wish I could live at this hotel!”

Usually there is something you are unsatisfied with at an hotel but I honestly cannot fault this one. We were absolutely blown away by this place, our 'room' turned out to be an elegant and stylish apartment! The hotel food was superb and great value too. I was sad to leave.

“Great Hotel - more like an apartment”

Great location and staff. Mikhail was extremely helpful with recommendations for restaurants and set us up with a driver that was the fraction of the cost of tour companies. Our room was more like an apartment than a hotel. Two bedrooms with full kitchen and living room, washer/dryer in our unit. Comfortable beds. Would definitely stay there again!

“I was blown away by how fabulous our room was - we did not want to leave”

Hotel is very new, in fact, they are still completing some areas. Within a block from major streets and markets. Staff was friendly, and amenities in the rooms were amazing and luxurious. Very contemporary and extremely clean look. Equipped with outdoor heated pool, fitness room, wine bar, and 24-hr business facilities. Hotel really makes you feel like you have your own apt. in Cape Town. We did not care that their restaurant was not completely built yet because we had a fully equipped kitchen and a grocery store was only a block away - also tons of restaurants in 2 min. walking distance.

“Great people and service”

Hotel was located within a short distance of many tourist events. Free parking if you rent or have a car. Only shortcoming was the restaurant was not completed when we were there.

Great hotel, great location. Stayed in platinum room, well worth the money, felt like we were in the presidential suite!

“Great Hotel”

Great apartment/hotel we had lots of space in 2 bed apartment and a lovely breakfast every morning! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. There is a travel centre by the reception who organised everything for us they were great. The italian restaurant downstairs served amazing food and was very reasonable. Only small problem was the location was slightly away from the main tourist hub of the V&A Waterfront, but it would be a more pricey area to be in. However the hotel does run a free shuttle twice a day. I would stay here again

“Better than expected”

We had a very nice fully furnished apartent with 2 bedrooms. The breakfast room is cosy and the breakfast was good. The staff is friendly. The location is very central easy to reach from anywhere. They have a safe garage if you are driving. Just do not walk around after dark when muggers take duty
