“Total commitment to the guest”

Fabulous place to stay - staff service is fantastic food top quality 2 mins to the waterfront 10mins to the city on foot - don't fancy the stroll - have a word and a car will whisk you wherever you wish Rooms huge and spotless Pool and bar great Spa excellent Down sides - you need to pay for this level of care but you are not short changed Bath towels not bath sheets(picky) - doh! I'll be back - thank you One & Only !

“One of the best hotels in the world”

I have stayed at many great 5 stars hotels around the world. I have The One and Only as the best one I have ever stayed at. THey take care of some details that are not common to find at all, like: drawers with all type of glasses for your favorite drink, quality of all amenities, space, nespresso machine etc. The staff attention is perfect (they never forget your name). The breakfast is amazing!!!! Besides the buffet, which is more than enough, you can also choose from a menu, many other items - and the sparkling wine is perfect!!

“Looking Forward to Returning”

The One and Only Capetown was everything this is to be expected . Service was impeccable. The rooms were large and stylish. The location was ideal for a first time visit to Capetown. I can't wait to go back again!

“World class hotel”

This hotel has extremely well appointed room. The staff provided excellent service, from the valet to the guest service manager who escorted us to our room. No details were overlooked in furnishing the rooms. A lovely bottle of champagne and truffles were in our room when we checked in. We were there for one night and look forward to spending another 2 nights on our way out of magical South Africa next week. Truly among the best hotels in the world and I have been to many of them.

“Hotel”

The hotel was absolutely amazing the staff were really helpful and the whole experience was heavenly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. I particularly enjoyed the bellini's I had in the evening.

“Best Visit to Cape Town so far”

Great location, service impeccable and facilities are very good including gym, pool and spa. Concierge made some great suggestions and secured some of the best activities and restaurants in the area. Test Kitchen in Woodstock was excellent. Local winery visits to Moyo, Franschoek and Constantia were really enjoyable. Camps Bay and Cape Quarter were great visits.

“Best food, location and views in cape town”

Given the hotels location it is used as much for business as leisure therefore makes for different mix of guests. If privacy is an issue you are surrounded by upmarket apartments on all sides. Although it's the views of table mountain, great location at V&A harbour and the great food that means this is the hotel to choose in Cape Town albeit an expensive one.

“Beautiful hotel but not worth the money”

The One&Only Cape Town bills itself as a 6 star hotel and their high prices seem to match that philosophy. Unfortunately all that money doesn't guarantee you 6 star service. And that's probably lacking most at this hotel - the personal touch. We were booked in the 2 bedroom island grand suite which is located on a separate "island" in the marina area ... the island is home to swimming pool, spa and suites ... it is a good 5 minute walk from your room to the main hotel lobby area. Pros: *Suite itself was fantastic - enormous with all the modcons you can imagine. Beautiful bathrooms, great lounge area, balcony, full kitchen - exactly as depicted on the website. *Great location Cons: *Regular rates ridiculously expensive *The DVD player didn't work on arrival. *Housekeeping was hit & miss. Room had not been made up by 12:30 pm ... and we subsequently discovered housekeeping washing dirty cups, plates and glasses in the bathroom basin! Ignoring the fact that there is a full kitchen in which to do this - its not very hygienic ... these items should be high-temperature cleaned and properly sanitised in dishwashers. Not just have a sprinkle of hotel water & then returned. *Dinner at Reubens also disappointed. We waited over 50 minutes for our main course. And whilst the food was good - there are far better restaurants in Cape Town for far less money. *No personal service / touch *Security - completely open to V&A ...with no visible security or access control
