“Great service & value”

I found this hotel to exceed my expectations. The staff went out of their way to address any concerns. One exception is the internet - the signal is weak & from what I was told, this is a problem in many rooms. I was able to use the internet in the courtyard & breakfast area without any concern whatsoever. The parking is very convenient & very safe. There are lots of restaurants in the immediate area - coffee shops too. Hotel staff gave excellent directions to all the local wineries, etc. The internet challenges is the only reason I didn't rate this hotel a 5 of 5.

Hotel was very clean, and staff very helpful. They are happy to arrange wine tours, and even recommend the "good ones"!

“Charming old hotel, good base for touring”

A charming little hotel dating back to the 1700s and set around a small courtyard. And its very convenient for the wine routes. Breakfasts were good and the evening food though not excellent was good enough. The wines were good quality and inexpensive. The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. There are numerous restaurants and pavement cafes around the town centre and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We would definitely go back here again

“Great place”

An excellent hotel very centrally located. The staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms clean and comfortable. Meals in the restaurant were basic but good, with good value for money. This is not a luxury hotel-if someone wants 100 channels of TV, etc, this is not the place, but that was fine with us. We would certainly go back.

“Perfect location”

This a nice friendly hotel, possibly in need of a makeover - certainly our room was small and 'tired', but the facilities were all there and with underground parking a good restaurant and central position it met our needs pretty well. Would probably use again

“Pleasant hotel”

Good breakfast and helpful staff. Rooms vary in quality and size but overall it is a good value. Secure free parking is included. Excellent location on the main street in town.

Too "quaint" for my taste. Fine for travelers who consider themselves romantic and alternative, but I'd rather have a room big enoug to walk upright.

“Great Restaurant shame about the rooms”

Great restaurant in a fantastic location with friendly, helpful staff and an excellent menu let down by mediocre reception staff and average rooms. Porters were very helpful but single beds pushed together don't constitute a double room !

“A good, reliable choice”

Although service was a little disorganised, it was consistently polite. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
