“Book this Hotel it will not Disappoint!”

Urban Chic is on Long Street, it is a beautiful hotel with a great caring staff. Long Street is very busy and noisy, but so much is within walking distance, shops, restaurants, bars, ....the noise of the party-goers on Long Street never stops, but ear plugs are offered free of charge by the hotel. Honestly, it is a great location and there is a great bar located right next to the hotel. I would definately stay at this hotel again.

Really comfortable and superb location. Anyone complaining of noisy evenings shouldn't really be in the heart of Cape Town!

“Wonderful location and staff”

Urban Chic, in city center, is in the middle of unique shops and hopping nightlife. Rooms are updated, roomy, and very clean. Staff are so very friendly, responsive, and knowlegable. They suggested and printed Table Mountain lifts and airplane boarding passes for us, called safe taxis,gave helpful directions. Breakfast option provides excellent yogurts, breads, fruits plus a hot option. Real coffee==so much of South Africa offers only an instant coffee. Service staff also friendly.

“Cape Town has it all”

Great location in the centre of Cape Town a stones throw away from cafe bars, eclectic shops and restaurants including the fabulous Mama Africa! Long Street is traditionally home to backpacker hostels but this hotel will change everything - a real gem! The hotel staff couldn't have been more welcoming (we also received a complimentary upgrade) The room was large and always clean with fresh towels and had views towards Table Mountain (handy for knowing whether the cable car was running or if there was any cloud cover!) Each morning we were welcomed with a plentiful breakfast buffet (great coffee). As you are in the hub of activity there was some street sound at night but a minor negative, given that the location means you can walk to parks, craft markets and the V&A waterfront (20 min). Given the chance we would definately return!

We stayed here our first 3 nights in Cape Town and found it to be a hip place in a great location for a fair price. The staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay.

“Great place to stay in Cape Town”

Found this hotel on Expedia - we loved the character of the hotel, the wonderful breakfast that was included, and the location. If you want to go out for a nice dinner, drink, or just listen to live music - this hotel is a great choice. It is near a few live music bars and is loud at night. The hotel offers ear plugs for those who like quiet nights. We checked in, went out for dinner and drinks, people watched, and stopped in to listen to some great live music. Probably not a good choice if you have small children. Would make a great choice for a weekend getaway with friends or a sweetie!

“Truly Chic”

I stayed at the Urban Hotel for 7 nights and I had an excellent experience. The staff are very accommodating and the rooms are very unique. I enjoyed staying there and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place where the "action" is.

“Very nice hotel and great value for the price”

Our room was very nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The included breakfast was fantastic. The place where it's served is beautiful and has a great view of the activity on Long Street below. We had read in reviews that the revelers on Long St get noisy at night and this was true, but the earplugs we brought easily took care of that. After checkout when we went to start our rental car, we found the battery was dead. When we returned to the front desk to ask about making a phone call to the car company, a manager generously offered to give us a jump start. This spared us a very long wait and saved our day!

“Great place to stay in Cape Town! Will return”

This hotel was awesome! Located right in the centre of Long Street, and a stone's throw from the famous Green Square Market, I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel! It's the perfect place to go out at night from, and if you're concerned about the noise go get some ear plugs from reception. The staff were completely wonderful - one of them even offered to go and get a pizza for us when we realised Mr Delivery had already closed! Anything we asked of them - advice about things to see, booking taxis, they helped us out. The room service and dinining room food was fantastic, and the view from our room and the dining room was absolutely beautiful. My only criticism of our room (which was otherwise beautiful and very clean) was that the bathroom is designed without a door, and with a sliding privacy partition between the bathtub and the bed. If I had been travelling with a partner, this would have been fine, but I was actually sharing the room with my friend. That was an amusing situation to work around, but as soon as we checked in we both commented how romantic it would be to stay there with a partner. Will definintely stay again! “Wonderful Hotel”

Urban Chic was a perfect little hotel - the staff was friendly and helpful; the room was spacious, with a view of Table Mountain; and the breakfasts were delicious. I spent a week there, then travelled for 2 weeks, and when I returned I felt that I was home again. Very close to banks, shops, and restaurants. The only caveat is that if you're a light sleeper you may be disturbed by the noisy bars on Long Street, but this also means that the street is pretty safe even late at night, because of the many partyers. If I return to Cape Town, I will definitely book at the Urban Chic - nothing but good things to say about it!
