Rooms are old but acceptable. Breakfast is ok. Location is good. However owner is rude and made racist remarks against south asians during an argument where he was trying to sell us balloon rides.

I like the location as it's in the centre of Goreme and the friendly staff who's so helpful. Otherwise, the cleanliness of the hotel environment and the condition of the room which I and my family occupied may need improvement.

The check in process was smooth. We booked a Double economy room with a garden room. The room didn't have an electric kettle or coffee machine. The common tea room was not available in the evening time.

Reception is not a real 24h desktop. You have to call the sleeping man inside the locked office. Room was without drinking water and without soap despite I informed the receptionist 2 times: he only answered "no problem".nice breakfast

The fact that we booked 2 rooms with separates beds and emailed them and received confirmation,they give us one with double bed,and told us,forget about email.And the fact that last day all hotel was out of water because they didnt fill up on time their water tank..also poor breakfast

The Caravanserai Cave Hotel, a traditional Cappadocian cave hotel, is an amazing place to stay in Göreme. It is located within a walking distance from downtown Göreme, where most restaurants and attractions are located. From the hotel, you can view the traditional Cappadocia landscape, as its premises are inside the natural protected area. In addition to that, the staff is friendly. They booked for us the hot-air balloon flight, tours around the area and arranged airport pick-up and drop-off for my family and me. I recommend this small family hotel if you are planning a trip to beautiful Cappadocia.

Recommended for low budget
Hotel location was very close to city center. Breakfast was nice. Room was not the same as pictures, it was smaller and less elegant but it was comfortable. Value for money was okay.

Very nice stay...
It was an amazing experience in a real cave house. You'll find a friendly staff, a clean room and an excellent terrace to spend some peaceful family time. Very good location near the downtown of Goreme. We spend there three marvelous time with a very comfortable rest.

Bit caold on the first day excelent on the second. Baloon flight was superd. The host and his father were supercool and friendly, provided a lot of inforation, good suggestions and made the stay even more better. The placey is simple but clean. The cave room we stayed could accomodate 5 easily.

Friendly staff
This hotel is an excellent choice if you're visiting Goreme mainly because of the service provided by Sardar and his father, the owner of the hotel. Sardar reserved all the tours for us without any prepayment. He even took us with his car to see unconventional touristic destinations. They are extremely friendly and helpful and they certainly played a huge role in making our trip memorable.

One of the nicer Cave hotels in a good location
We liked staying at this hotel. Very good location. Walking distance to most tours. Serdar was super helpful and friendly and gave us good deals on various tours availed during our stay, including pick up and drop from the venues and airports. Serdar was also very easily available during the days leading to the trip, answering all questions I had and giving us as many details as possible, including live weather updates. The only two feedback points I have are on the room itself. I understand that its a cave hotel but a little extra ventilation would be great, else the room feels stuffy (we were 5 of us in one room). Also, the cave dirt kept falling from the ceiling on us so that also could be worked on. Overall, we had a very decent stay here.

Friendly and helpful
Loved this hotel. The family, father and son, who run this hotel, were so helpful and easygoing. They gave lots of information an about what to do in Goreme and Cappadocia, without being pushy. Room was comfortable and breakfast plentiful. I loved the omelettes! Hotel is close to the centre, so easy to get to restaurants in the evening. The hotel has a lovely garden courtyard to sit in too.

Cappadocia? magic, you couldn't do better.
Our 4-day stay at Caravanserai was as unforgettable as our experience of Cappadocia!. The hotel is central for exploring the area and the trip made much easier thanks to Oruc and his family. He arranged the airport transfer, a balloon trip and an excursion, and then his daughter-in-law took us on a tour of the places we had missed! The hotel is small, clean and well positioned for exploring. We made the right choice - for price, location and atmosphere!

Nice, clean hotel with a warm host
This is a nice, clean setup close to a lot of restaurants and shopping options in Cappadocia. While our room was a little underwhelming with no 'cave' feeling, the owner Oruc made up for it with his friendly, smiling service. He served us a complimentary bottle of red wine on the occasion of my birthday. On the last day, because our hot air balloon trip was running a little late and there was a real fear of missing our flight, Oruc himself picked us up from the balloon site and dropped us to the airport in his car. Another thing : 100 Euros had 'accidentally been misplaced' (by us, apparently) from our room, all we had to do was bring it to Oruc's attention and it was promptly and efficiently returned to us.

The hotel owners (Oruc and his son) are great people...kind, friendly and very helpful. We loved our stay at Cavaranserai. Though not luxurious, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel is conveniently located near the main street in Goreme where you can book tours and find restaurants.

But Ilyas, Oruc, Gokhan and Yosin couldn't do enough enough for us. Got a last minute ballon ride on a sold out day - and then got up at 430 to make sure I was picked up! English no problem. Cool place. They will spoil you

We had a great stay in Caravanserai Cave Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helped us with booking the hot air balloon flight and other tours in the area. Cappadocia was definitely one of the best places we've been to and we can really recommend going there.

Absolutely great hotel!
The hotel is conveniently located near Goreme bus station which you can walk within 5mins. Mr Oruc and Elyas was very friendly and helpful as you can ask them anything about Goreme and getting arrangement for the red & green tour, and also for the hot air balloon. Their tour prices are very competitive and it was hassle free! Overall, it was a comfortable stay and their hospitality is top notch. Kudos to the Caravanseri Hotel Guys!

Beautiful hotel!
We stayed at this cave hotel for just one night. The owner Oruc and his son were very sweet. But Ilyas, who pretty much runs this hotel, was the star. He helped book all of our excursions and dinners, etc. I honestly didn't have to do much planning because he took care of everything. He even arranged the shuttle to/from airport, as well as a private car ride for the dinners. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Best option in Goreme
This hotel was fantastic. We changed to this hotel when we realised that we were spending too much money on trips in Cappadocia and decided to downgrade to a cheaper hotel to save some money. It was the best decision we made. The location is perfect - just a 5-10 minute walk from sunset point and right by the centre of Goreme. On three occasions, hotel staff drove us to different locations to either help us with baggage or to ensure that we didn't miss our balloon flight meeting point when the minibus was delayed picking us up. Staff at the hotel are genuinely the nicest people you could hope to meet and go out of the way to make sure that you have the best stay at their hotel. We were incredibly sad to leave the hotel and would return in a heartbeat.

Had a nice restful stay. We got prompt replies from Oruc to all our queries before we reached there. Our stay was made even better by the very very helpful manager, Ilyas. He went out of his way to make us comfortable. He even had us driven to the open air museum. The breakfast was nice and adequate enough. A kettle in the room would have been lovely as going to the breakfast room or the reception to ask for coffee meant a flight of stairs. Overall it was a memorable experience. Thank you Ilyas.

Pros : easy to find, breakfast terrace has a nice view, affordable, the staff is friendly Cons : its not an original cave, its made to look like one (and considering price/value it was probably a very good option ). But a little bit of effort should be made to hide the electric wires that come out of the rock here and there. Also i would remove the TV, there is very nice lighting in the rock alcôves in our room which made a kind of romantic ambiance :) Heaters were working fine And we were not cold, despite February at minus 6 celcius outside. Thanks a lot to Illias (or Elyas? Sorry for the spelling) our host from c/in to c/out was always ready to help! Great customer service skills!

Located in the very heart of the touristic center of Göreme, the hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with a very good breakfast, not to mention the cordial and helpful personal.

Nice hotel but not very clean
The owners of this hotel were very friendly and helpful but the staff that were presentwhen the owners were away were not particularly forthcoming. Also, hotel cleanliness was not great. The rugs in the room had not been vacuumed on our arrival and the bathroom floor was not clean. Even after making comments requesting better cleaning on the second ay, we found that it was still not up to our expectations. Breakfast was good and the view from the breakfast room was lovely.

Fantastic hotel! Very clean, friendly staff, and very safe. Staff spoke English and helped us book our tours. Great Turkish breakfast and the view from the dining room was so serene and relaxing.

Beautiful cave rooms, amazing staff!
The 4-person cave room was just what we were looking for. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. On our final day they held our bags and even offered a room to shower/change after we got soaked on a ATV adventure. The breakfast was simple, but similar to your european standard. Terrace had a nice view of the town and othe cave hotels. Getting around is best by car to see the Cappadocia region, but the hotel is within walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. Do NOT rely on google maps for directions, use the GPS coordinates located on hotels.com. Overall I really enjoyed my stay, I would defintely stay here again!
