We took our daughter back to SIU and stayed here. It is by far the best hotel in the area. Staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. The room was comfy and clean. I am heading back down to SIU to visit my daughter and that is the hotel for me.

I am a student who was visiting SIUC and wanted a comfortable place to stay the night before my interview. Marion was very nice and quiet and close to Carbondale. The Country Inn and Sweets was comfortable, clean, and convenient. The staff was helpful and attentive. I would definitely stay here again.

I was so impressed with the facility and staff that we are already booked for two rooms for a major convention in another state with Country Inns & Suites. Satisfied? You bet!!! I have never seen more staff who were consistently courteous and helpful--from the manager to the front desk staff to the breakfast attendants. LOVED the cozy, yet elegant fireplaces in the front lobby and beautiful breakfast area. Beautifully decorated, yet a home-touch feeling--even with a library--imagine that! Also . . . evening snacks--including healthy options--veggie platter. SO NICE!!! Felt more like a small-sized luxury hotel. Was great that we could have our dog at this particular location. Was nice that conscientious pet owners could bring their canines.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and the breakfast great! Hi breakfast ladies! The hotel was easy to find, right off the interstate, and the neighborhood was nice. I definately recommend it.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast in the morning was hot and very good. I didn't use the pool or fitness room but they both looked clean. Room was spotless. I highly recommend this hotel.

visited for a football game in nearby Carbondale. Easy to find area, check-in was a breeze!! Room was wonderful --- had our worries being next to the elevator, but not a sound was heard!!! hot water and water pressure was plentiful. Complimentary breakfast was delicious --- 'specially the waffles!!!!! would DEFINITELY stay again if I ever have to visit for another game --- hoping not, though.... long drive home after the loss!!!!
