“Not impressed”

We were unable to get a handicap accesible room with two double beds. The beds are so soft very uncomfortable.

“Nice hotel, great value”

This was a very nice hotel with lots of freebies -- free breakfast (substantial), free light dinner, free popcorn every night, and free sodas. Room was a little small, but otherwise fine. Plus, the hotel is pet-friendly! Definitely recommend it.

“We'll be back!”

Everything we expected it to be. Great location near I57 & IL13. Many restaurants & stores nearby. Great free food & drinks in the evening and breakfast buffet. Exceptionally clean & comfortable room. Friendly & helpful staff. We'll be back next year!

Area recommendations

Plenty to do in Marion area. 2 hours from St. Louis. SIU Carbondale 20 minutes away. Shawnee Forest & several large lakes nearby. Great summer & fall getaway location.

“Great value; needs better housekeeping”

This hotel is a terrific value. It's free to bring your dog (and there's no size limit). Breakfast is free, and it's more than just the usual muffins and juice. They even have a free hot appetizer thing in the evenings that includes things like hot dogs and nachos, so that you could conceivably skip going out to dinner. The only thing I would change is the housekeeping service. On our first full day we got back to the hotel around 2 p.m. and the room hadn't been made up. The housekeeper came by around 4 p.m., but I was napping and asked her to come back later. No one ever did. But that's a small complaint in a very good hotel stay overall.

“Pleasantly surprised”

Check-in was a breeze, since the reservation was done through Expedia. We arrived 3 hours early and they allowed us to occupy the room. We saved money since the hotel provides breakfast and hot supper, and each room has a microwave and and small refrigerator. This was a plus since we were traveling with young children.The staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near the interstate and there are plenty of shopping areas to choose from, as well as dinning places to choose from. Although everything was excellent, we did have an event that was inconvenient. during our last day the hotel experienced a power outage. It delayed us from getting ready on time and we were late to our appointment. Overall, I would stay there again, and definitely will make reservation through Expedia.

“Satisfied my hotel needs”

My only complaint about the hotel was the stench in my room; but after time I got used to it and didn't notice it. Checking in was easy and the associate that helped me was friendly and explained everything I needed to know. The hotel was quiet and I was able to work without any disturbances.

“Good hotel, but not quite what I expected”

I'm sure if you based this hotel against most, it would get high marks. But I didn't think it was of normal Drury quality. The indoor pool was small and it wasn't heated and it was freezing in the middle of June! The whirlpool was really small, maybe a 4-5 person tub. The pool area was inside\outside and there were people on the outside smoking and they may as well have been in the pool smoking because it just blew into the pool area. The food was good, but seating was limited. The room was nice. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful. Overall, I gave the hotel a good review. Most of the marks against it are things that corporate decided and didn't have anything to do with the staff. My review sounds negative, but we had a good trip. I just have really high expectations for this chain. Those of you that go to the Drury because you feel like you're going first class may want to lower your expectations a bit if you reserve a room here.

“Great Place To Stay”

Had a great stay, the breakfast & and the 5:30 kickback was great. Employees were friendly. The hotel & room was clean. Only complaint is the person who stayed in the room before us smoked and the oder lingered, we told the front desk and they did try to eliminate the smell.

“You hav been warned!”

The hotel is convenient to many restaraunts & the hwy! I was there for 10 days. 10 days too long! Take earplugs with you if you intend to sleep. The walls are paper thin. All night long I heard toilets & showers running. And the hwy is VERY near by along with it's noise. The maid service is very minimal. Do yourself a favor & check into another hotel. Drury Inn is not worth your money!
