Our flight was cancelled from London Gatwick, not our fault. So we couldn't get into Italy because The Air Traffic Contol Tower had been infected. So we claimed a refund from the hotel as we couldn't get there and we were not offered any other flight's or solutions, and the hotel refused to refund us and there was nothing we could do about it. Under the Atol protection we were covered but still they refused to refund us. Very poor!

Overall good place to stay, good breakfast, cleanliness and staff. Con: The tap water is not potable and they don’t provide complimentary bottles in the room - all hotels I’ve stayed at provide basic water when tap water is not drinkable. We had to keep running to the grocery store nearby to buy bottles as hotel bottles were way too expensive. Pros: Fully equipped gym, and good spa and wellness services

Professional and helpful
Staff were very accommmodating and helpful with our questions and requests. The spa treatments were excellent and gym also great. Corona situation handled very well. A bit more of a business hotel than vacation hotel.

A modern and spacious hotel, with very friendly and attentive staff. A fantastic restaurant with delicious food and a lovely outdoor pool. A great place for exploring the south west corner of the island.

Wonderful modern hotel, with great rooms and facilities. Carbonia is a small ex coal mining town. There is a supermarket within 5mins walk and a McDonald’s (if you have kids). Train station is 5mins walk from the hotel and it’s an hour to Cagliari. About €5. The hotels half board menu is effectively a set menu which changes each night, no buffet. Sea food is popular. Chicken and vegetarian options are limited. We didn’t find any places to eat out in Carbonia. I recommend hiring a car from Cagliari and exploring the island. The hotel has 2 pool cars. You can hire the hotels car for €59 a day.

Lovely Hotel
Comfortable room with quiet air conditioning and a superb bathroom. The pool area was lovely, nice sun beds and canopies and the pool was a welcome relief from the sun. Lots of choice at breakfast, you would not go hungry. Staff friendly and helpful. Free parking and within a short distance of shops and supermarkets.

Hotel, lovely. Local area, lacking
Couldn't fault the hotel. Lovely staff, comfy rooms and cracking breakfast buffet. However, the local area is boring, to be honest. There are a couple of bars and restaurants nestled within the main centre but, apart from that, there isn't a lot to the city. A car is a must to travel to the surrounding beaches!

3 days at West Sardinia
Very nice and clean, excellent costumer service. Good starting point to visit the west coast and Sant'antioco. Covered car park and very decent breakfast. Try Ristorante Pizzeria La Lanterna, it's great! 10 min walk. Also, the city center is about 15 min walk. The town though is quite boring....!

Excellent 4 Star Hotel
Lu' hotel is truly 4 star hotel; the decor, facilities, cleanliness, services and staff professionalism were beyond my expectations. Every request was met promptly with a positive attitude. I would love to stay at Lu' again. Highly recommended.

Nice Hotel and excellent staff
The Hotel was very modern and very clean..All the staff were excellent. The Bar Manager was great and recommend places in local area to eat. thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only thing is you really need to hire a car to really experience the beaches etc... The hotel does provide transfers at a cost of 17.50 Euro which is good value for the money. would definitely recommend the hotel..

This is a nice hotel to explore the south west coast by car. The hotel has quite a business feel, but is smart, clean and comfortable and the pool area is very nice.

Cet hôtel est remarquable à tout points de vue 4 étoiles c’est normal rien à dire. La restauration le personnel vraiment top ! En revanche la situation dans la ville est très particulière entre la zone industrielle et la zone commerciale dans la ville de Carbonia. Il n’y a rien voir pas grand chose… La voiture est indispensable oubliez la petite promenade autour de l’hôtel….

Lu Hotel Carbonia presents a strategic location, situated conveniently near Masua and en route to Porto Pino, allowing guests to explore Sant'Antioco with ease (by car). However, it's worth noting that the hotel's inviting atmosphere contrasts with a less appealing neighborhood. While the pool area occasionally experiences congestion, the culinary experience is a highlight, despite occasional delays in replenishing supplies. The rooms offer modern bathroom amenities and responsive service, contributing to overall comfort.

Het hotel ligt in een Industriegebied wat niet zo'n mooie omgeving is. Echter in Carbonia zijn wel wat restaurants waar je goed kan eten, maar je moet zeker een huurauto hebben om de omgeving te verkennen

Il soggiorno è stato ottimo. Personale cortese, veloce ed attento. Parcheggio gratuito al coperto ed accesso tramite ascensore. Unica nota, da leggere come un consiglio, quando ci sono eventi già programmati, che occupano gli spazi comuni, sarebbe piu indicato avvertire gli ospiti il giorno precedente, in maniera che si possano organizzare diversamente per il giorno successivo.
