The BEST WESTERN Heronston Hotel is situated on the outskirts of Bridgend and ideally placed to discover the beautiful Glamorgan Heritage coastline. We are equidistant from the capital city of Show more Cardiff and the cosmopolitan city of Swansea, therefore making us the perfect venue for business or pleasure. All of our 75 bedrooms are well appointed and include standard and executive rooms and four poster suites. The Heron Bar offers the perfect place to unwind and have pre-dinner drinks before relaxing in the tranquil atmosphere of our Crane Restaurant, where you can enjoy freshly prepared cuisine from our table d'hote or a la carte menus. There is a choice of six event rooms, so no matter what size of function or conference you are to organize, we will be able to accommodate you in comfort. After a busy day relax and unwind in our newly refurbished leisure club complete with indoor pool, sauna, spa pool and steam room. For the more energetic we also have a fully equipped gym. “Far from 'Best'”

At check-in I was not greeted, merely asked 'name'?; I was allocated room and told down the corridor on the right; not told where facilities or where breakfast was to be taken; found room to be good size but bed was awful, springs felt as though they were protruding through what was left of the mattress; cobwebs where present all around the room; the television was small and lower than bed so couldn't be watched when in bed; when I enquired as to whether there was another room was told simply 'no'. Not good for the rate paid. Would not recommend.
