Good for familiesPosted Dec 2, 2013
Last minute booking for a family room. Lovely hotel grounds. Swimming pool nice and we had it to ourselves for some of the time. We had a garden room which was nice and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Convenient for passport office, nice breakfast.Posted Aug 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were in one of the garden rooms, which reminded me more of a Butlins Chalet but as we were only staying one night and just wanted a room it did us/ The leisure club looked good but it was such a short stay never got chance to use it. Thought evening meal was a bit pricey so headed up to the the pub in front of the Premier Inn, just back along the road about half mile towars Newport where the food was very good.

Comfortable StayPosted Aug 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Have stayed here before when we had one child. Now with two, the 'chalet style accommodation is perfect for our needs. The decor is a tad tired in places in the room but the bathroom was very big and clean. The changing rooms for the leisure facilities again are again in need of some modernisation but the pool was fun to use. The location is perfect for Cardiff and Newport and it is set well back from any main roads to ensure a peaceful stay.

Great location - but service was poorPosted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
What a lovely location - I went and watched the local cricket team Lisvane U13 match - ground adjoins. The room inside was very comfortable - however the outside needs a bit of tidying up as it looks rather shabby - and the printed information in the room needs a refresh - it is bearly readable it is so feint. Poor service relates to the bar staff - unfriendly and sloppy in pouring my short and mixer - twice! Also they were slow in attending to my shower which was difficult to operate and then devoid of hot water as the bolier had gone out - although I did get breakfast on the house to appease (after I suggested it). Overall I would stay again despite these wrinkles - could easily be made so much better with a bit of attetion to detail.

Our stay was great, but the wifi is difficult to get if you aren't on the ground or first floor.

Just the jobPosted Jun 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nice leisure facilities, very welcoming staff. Lovely grounds and would happily use again. If the cost of breakfast was reduced a little I would definitely stay on another visit to the area!

Just OKPosted Apr 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed a night in late March 2013. We had a "Garden Room", which was much like a Motel. Room was fine but very basic and did not have a thermostat, so we were forced to use a floor heater when the radiator went off. The grounds are large and quite remote from the outside world as you must drive through a golf coarse to get there. The price was cheaper than most other hotels in the area so I may stay again...
