Very close to the city centre

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: It was very central and reasonable rates.
Cons: Cleanliness of bathroom!
Location: Cardiff is a great place to visit-lots of bars, clubs, eateries etc and places of historical interest too.
Room was fine but cleanliness of bathroom was disappointing-had issues with kettle but after 3rd replacement all was ok. Heater on wall wasn't working but was replaced with a plug in one-staff were very helpful.

Good position

Good position in the centre of Cardiff. Spacious room and bathroom with a good shower and breakfast was good. Would say furniture etc a little dated and would rather a double bed rather than two singles put together but overall good price and good place.

Hotel stay

Posted Dec 18, 2014
Pros: Hotel was clean and handy for us.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't great, continental - weatherspoons fry up just round the corner is what we had planned anyway.
Location: Right opposite the arena, handy for city centre 5 mins walk at most.
Handy for where we were, and city centre, parking NCP - hotel doesn't have own.

Ok, wouldn't use them again

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Cons: Little more observant on smells and stains
The hotel staff were lovely. The hallways smelt like urine. The bed sheets themselves were clean and fresh however you could see blood stains on the pillow itself through the sheets. Although we did have the room cheap and it was only for one night so didn't complain so cant comment on how the staff would have reacted. They most likely would have been more than willing to change the pillow if we had said something.

Close to Motorpoint arena and John Lewis

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Cons: More pillows, smelt funny in communal areas, hallways and outside lifts
Value for money. Comfy beds, great location. Not luxurious but room was big and clean. Perfect for a 1 night stay to shop and see a band or show.

Good budget hotel

For £45 I have to say it impressed me. It was cleaner and with better facilities than I thought at this price. Whilst I was not very hungry at breakfast there was entry on offer and no limits which I thought was great. I would stay again

Room not particularly clean, damp used towel, tv remote not working, slow lifts. decor looking tired. Big queue at reception. Needs refurb! Great location shame it appears to be unloved
