Nice hotel excellent pricePosted Sep 1, 2014
This was our second stay at the hotel we asked in advance for the same room and got it 108, lovely and clean the lovely old comfy sofa bed had gone and was replaced with a modern chair, which looked nice in the room. Only negative is no fridges in the room for me its important as my son is not well and needs constant anti biotics there is however a fridge at reception where u can store things. Lovely leisure facilities massive pool for a hotel, varied kids menu, staff really friendly could do 2ith an out door play area in their very large garden to keep the kids occupied as ours like so many were bored playing games by the bar. I would recommened this hotel every time and will be staying again.

Easy access to motorway; good overnight stopPosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Swimming pool and sauna...
Cons: See above for bedroom and restaurant.
Good swimming pool / spa facilities. Equipment missing from bedroom: hairdryer, bed side lights. No air conditioning - was stuffy at night. Restaurant: misplaced food order - forgot children's meals; wine not chilled; forgot to bring bread at the start of meal.

our stay at the Hilton Hotel Newport was excellentPosted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: family room, large size
Cons: sauna temp, double bed a bit hard and air conditioning needed in room
Location: Hilton Newport, been to pendine sands
lovely hotel, great family room, could do with air conditioning as was very hot and sticky in room, sauna not to the correct temp, but great food, great staff, would come again!,

Weekend comfort.Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Swimming pool. Size of rooms. Good service.
Cons: Air conditioning in rooms and revitalised or replaced corridor carpets.
Location: Cwmbran Victory church on Sunday 15 minutes away, a must.
Greatly enjoyed pool and spaciousness of room though carpets in corridors look in need of renewal in places. Still has a grandeur epitomised by the concert piano in the entrance. Staff very helpful. At breakfast a queue formed for eggs so sausages cooled on the plate, so maybe an extra kitchen cook is needed or more than one egg pan should be on the go! Rooms could also do with air conditioning in the current hot weather.

Short breakPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Chose the hotel mainly for the location ... conveniently situated just off M4.
Cons: Some redecoration and replacement of dated interior.
I found this hotel to be something of a disappointment, bearing in mind the "Hilton " brand. The reception area was well appointed (as with most hotels) but the décor and furnishings in the room were dull and "tired". We were also kept awake until almost 1.00am due to a private function taking place. Not good if you have an early start and a long drive next morning. On plus side, could not fault breakfast where there was a choice to suit everyone.

great quality at an affordable pricePosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: facilities, staff, price,
Cons: wifi tended to slip occasionally.
Location: never went into Newport other than a local retail estate for a meal, handy for Cardiff despite uninformative signage due to road closures.
cant be faulted really other then possibly unexpected car parking charge on check out and bar/snack prices. hotel, facilities, staff, price, everything was excellent, quite often a holiday hotel is just somewhere to store your clothes and sleep, but roominess made it pleasant to actually be in your room.
