I now always try to use a Park Inn instead of premier inn. They are about the same price (cheaper on this occasion), but do the little things do much better. Proper kettle in room, with enough milk for more than one coffee. Basic gym to kill an hour after work. Proper restaurant & bar, with genuinely nice food and adult atmosphere. Total contrast to the wacky warehouse/Taybarns/barn owl type plastic pubs stuck on the side of most premier inn's.

Great Hotel

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Mattress to firm
Location: I was there for a meeting at the Millennium Stadium, only a short distance away by car.
Great hotel will stay there again if we are in Wales again. Friendly helpful staff. I must say Rhys was the first person we met at the reception and normally we can tell if we are going to have a nice stay by the reception staffs attitude. This young man is a genuine pleasure to deal with. The bar staff were also so friendly and helpful thumbs up there. Food was great. Room was clean and shower was fantastic. The only thing I will say, even though I slept like a baby I woke up quite stiff as I have a back problem. I didn't complain about it at the time but I am sure if I did they would have tried to find another room with a slightly softer mattress.

Noisy

Posted Mar 7, 2015
Noisy lots of groups of young lads & girls. Food poor, service dodgy. Fire alarm went off at 03.30 followed by noisy revellers at 04.30.

Great hotel..

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Everything!
Location: It is near the motorway but you can't hear it. A few min drive into Cardiff. Great for the festivals. Concerts etc.
Stayed here a few times. Great for families, large rooms and the beds are comfy. Staff are really helpful. Breakfast is really yummy! Going to stay again soon.

Comfortable hotel

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Really impressed by the room, good size and clean with coffee/tea making facilities. Reception staff were friendly and helpful at arrival. Didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on the facilities. The only negative thing was on arrival late in the evening there lots of signs in the car park telling you to hide your valuables and beware of leaving anything on display which is obviously good advice but slightly off-putting and worrying about whether your car is safe! It was fine all weekend.

Chilly room during the a Winter months

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Convenient and quiet.
Cons: Allow us to have more control over heating.
The room was pleasing but chilly on entering. After 10 minutes of fiddling with the heating control we asked reception for help. Apparently if you want your room warmer, you have to ask reception to activate the temperature as we were not trusted to initially operate it ourselves. The room became toasty but when we turned it off to go out we had no control again. Woke up freezing and again no control over heating only able to have cold air being blown into the room. I am sure there is no problem with this during most months but December and a freezing cold night was no joke.

A place for not to come back

Posted Nov 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
The corridor to reach the room was under refurbishment. Was like being in a war zone. The AC was not working properly. Set up the temperature to sleep and it went switched off. Had to get two duvets to sleep. Could not have the chance to check other services such as restaurant, but bearing in mind that the hotel is really far away from downtown, it is surprising to pay 110£ and not getting a breakfast included.

Dear Guest We are trying very hard to recover from the recent flood which has occurred on the 20th October 2014 however as you can appreciate it takes time to do all necessary refurbishment. First of all the concrete floor and walls as well as affected ceiling has to fully dry out before we are able to install carpets and ceiling tiles. We are fully booked for next couple of weeks and were faced with a decision to either cancel all arrivals or accept guest with degree of inconvenience. We have chosen not to spoil fully your visit to Cardiff and hope for guest understanding.

Comfortable hotel outside Cardiff centre.

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Good value for money.
The Park Inn is easy to get to on the journey into Cardiff, but is several miles from the main centre. The hotel provided good value for money (£80 for a double plus £10 each for hot buffet breakfast) during a rugby weekend, when the central hotels were very pricey. Rooms were comfortable, spacious, clean and quiet.
