Great Caribbean hotelPosted Oct 13, 2013
Cute hotel with amazing staff. The pool was awesome and the hotel had a very "zen" feeling to it. The rooms weren't anything lavish, but we really enjoyed ours and it had everything we needed. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the location was perfect... Close to town and also punts Uva. We rented bikes to for around one day and had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

StaffPosted Jul 11, 2013
Cons: The towels are in pretty bad shape. They should replace them.
The staff were wonderful. Always helpful and smiling. Whatever you want to book for horseback riding, biking, taxi, transfers... they tried very hard to accommodate you. the restaurant is small but the food is very good. the service is excellent.

Beautiful Hotel, Nice location close clean beachesPosted Jul 7, 2013
Pros: setting, personal, quietness. cleanness.
Cons: work with clients when they cannot get there on the day they supposed to check in. due to mother nature. credit will be nice.
Location: beach very close, refuge for wounded animals. Cahuita Park. waterfalls in BriBri town near, every hotel have tours to all of this places.
we stayed for 5 days, few obstacles: 1) is far away from the city of Costa Rica. 2)it is difficult to find the name roads so if you drive you have to put attention to get out of Costa Rica. 3)about 4 hrs driving. going thru the National park is beautiful but it is a busy road up on the mountains where you share the road with so many trucks but it is worth it. when you get to the hotel the persons at the desk speak very good english and some of the employees also speaks some. the reception area is very welcoming. the gardens are very well kept. the scenery makes feel so natural. the rooms are very clean. breakfast is served every morning. we enjoyed immensely. fresh fruit every day. delicious coffee. very nice staff. the beach is across street they are kept very clean so many trees to shade from the sun. in general wonderful experience .

Best hotel in Puerto Viejo!Posted Jul 5, 2013
Location: Quiet getaway from small noisy town.
Warm, friendly staff. Excellent security. Beach close by. Small town just 20 minutes by foot. Hotel itself and the pool were excellent. Saw a poison arrow dart frog while walking to our bungalow (watch out children!). Would go back if I have an opportunity.

The only thing better than the beach is this staffPosted Jul 4, 2013
Pros: Pool, breakfast, bikes
Cons: Start serving breakfast earlier at 7am.
Location: Beaches, restaurants, markets, Puerto Viejo
Cariblue is about a 20 minute walk south of Puerto Viejo. Bikes can be rented for a few USD. There are beaches right across the road from the hotel, and restaurants and supermarkets a short walk north or south. The facilities are well kept, very safe (gate and guards), and the staff is super nice and helpful. The pool is open until 10pm and was used by many of the families with small children. The rooms are simple, spacious, and have a nice hammock/front porch area. The breakfast was pretty large (rice and beans, fruit, cheese, bread, egg, pasties-every day). The restaurant's food looked food, if a little pricey.

lovely hotel near beachPosted Jul 3, 2013
Location: must go to the cocoa "plantation" and the jaguar rescue center( a beautiful facility where the main goal is to return the animals to their jungle home
As far as we could see Cariblue was the best place in the area...great food, super staff, and the grounds and pool area beautiful. Our room was very comfortable and the hammock on the porch was so relaxing on a rainy day.

Completely Underrated!Posted Jun 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
This resort was absolutely incredible. The area surrounding the personal bungalows and the main bungalow was filled with exotic plants and flowers. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The website did not do it justice, if you're staying in the Puerto Viejo area, this is the place to stay.

Excellent AccomodationsPosted Jun 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed in the superior bungalow and it was wonderful. Beautiful hardwood floors and walls. Air, TV, and hot water all worked well with no problems. In many areas this would be taken for granted but in this rustic and simple environment it was a pleasant surprise. Staff was wonderful and the breakfast and coffee was exceptional. Great experience.

A paradise!Posted May 27, 2013
This was our 2nd time at Cariblue. We love it everytime. This place is gorgeous right across from the beach. The staff is incredible, friendly, always ready to help. The free breakfast is outstanding and wil fill you up for the all day. The dinner menu is a little pricy but very good. The housekeeping is very good and makes you feel welcome each day with little surprises. The hotel is very well secured. The property is well manicured with a great collection of tropical plants, trees and animals. You will wake up to the sounds of birds, monkeys and waves. If you seeking peace, relaxation and nature, this is the place! Also if you have a chance, get a massage!
