Pure Luxury in the JunglePosted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: It all. People, gardens, room, atmosphere. Smiles abound.
Cons: The only things I would improve on: 1. the hot tub outside is not hot; no coffee or tea service in the room (but if you call them, they will deliver a
Location: Caribbean fun. Lot of eating, drinking, beach, surfing, kayaking, white water rafting, a lot of spas in the jungle.
This is one of the most wonderful places I have stayed, and I travel a lot. Beautiful in the lush jungle yet yards from the ocean; immaculately manicured tropical foliage; ultra large, white rooms. the staff is wonderful. They make sure your needs are over attended to. They bend over backwards to please. Gourmet restaurant, great breakfasts, eggs cooked to order. Last night they prepared a 4 course spiny Caribbean lobster gourmet meal, for all of $25. One of the most beautiful settings I have experienced. they even did our laundry after a day in the ocean at no charge. It is pricey but well worth it. If you want the absolute best in the Puerto Viejo area, this is it.

Perfect to relaxPosted Dec 12, 2014
After living in the jungle for 5 months, a few days at the cameleon was just what I needed as a touch of luxury before heading home to the U.K.

Nice, but getting old..Posted Nov 17, 2014
Nice hotel, but little bit outdated. I don't think that white color was the best choice for "in jungle" hotel. But everything else was very good.

Amazing location, friendly staff, beautiful hotelPosted Nov 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
I loved this hotel! The room was very nice and clean...the white walls and bright decor was so refreshing. The private beach access was very relaxing - filled with hammocks, lounge chairs, and tables where you could order food and drinks. the hotel staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location is great because you are able to have your own space on the beach, yet you are a quick bike ride from the village (or about a 20 minute walk or so). I would definitely go back to Le Cameleon and i really appreciated the service and experience.

Pura vida!Posted Oct 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very beautiful place. Location is directly in front of beach. Although no views of the sea there is amazing jungle all around. The breakfast included was ok. Not much variety and some of food seemed to be left out too long. Other than that its very up scale and clean. Pura vida!

Over pricedPosted Sep 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
The check in was the best part of the stay. Rest of the staff, especially in the restaurant , seemed like they were put out by us being there. The room was dirty ( hair, dirt etc).
