A stop in Limon

Posted Jan 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
This was a clean safe hotel. Staff was very helpful. Restaurant served good food with a nice staff. Rooms were a bit sparse but they were clean. Beds were comfortable. Based on my explorations of the city it appeared to be one of the best places to stay and was very convenient to the center of the town.

First visit to Costa Rico

Posted Dec 31, 2013
Pros: The staff was great. The view from my room was of the ocean.
Cons: It is what it is. Not truly a tourist area.
Location: The beaches were the only close things to do. Everything else took 2-3 hours to get there.
The town of Limon was not very clean and had little to offer. I made the best of it and managed to enjoy myself. I took in the attractions and drove around a lot. The staff at the hotel were great. The location was the best in the city. Although I was less than a block from some tough sections. The town ended one block after my hotel and the ocean was with in view.

Best in Limon

Posted Jul 18, 2013
Pros: Resaurant
Cons: Linens
Location: Not much
The Park has continued to improve over the years I have stayed there. Flat screen TV's and new quiet AC units in every room. Bathrooms are dated, Towels are small and thin. Restaurant is excellent. Try the Corvina with mushroom sauce. Not much to choose from in Limon, so the Park is going to be your best bet.

Oasis in Limon

The Park Hotel is a nice little place to stay if you have to go to Limon. I would not visit Limon for a vacation, for business the Park offers a nice stay. Rooms were a little better than average, clean, but the restaruant was great. A nice place to gather, good fish.

No choices !

Posted Mar 2, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Bed
Location: Great as you could walk most things and it was on waterfront
There are virtually no choices for hotels in Liberia so think this is as good as it gets .all was good except the beds were like cement, wood was broken so they were very squeaky. Very expensive for this quality of hotel....$80. Would be more acceptable for what you get .

There is no choice

Posted Feb 17, 2013
Pros: It was in the town where i needed to stay....
Cons: Hot, expensive
Location: Literally could not find a place within half a mile to eat or drink
As noted in previous postings....loud gym across street segued into loud bar down street. Reception the "eye contact when we feel like it" Caribe style. Also as noted before...there is NOWHERE else to stay in town so you have to stay here. Town makes Dar es Salaam and Tangiers look like garden spots.

Pros: Friendliness of the staff.
Cons: Ocean views.
Beautiful view, friendly staff, spotless, delicious complimentary a la carte breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it to my friends, colleagues, or family members.

Its OK if you have to spend a night in Puerto Limon

Posted Oct 20, 2011
Location: Its worth having a look at the Cathedral in the centre of the town. It is a good example of modern tropical architecture, has stunning stained glass and an unusual and attractive sculpture behind the altar. The park is safe to walk around in daylight. If you are lucky, or persistent, you may see a sloth in one of the trees. They are there, if well camouflaged.
The hotel is right on the seafront in the centre of Puerto Limon. Everywhere of note is within walking distance. We felt our room was adequate in a motel sort of way but lacked facilities such as tea and coffee machine or fridge. It was also quite small. The restaurant serves a reasonable meal and the staff are extremely helpful. The hotel was overpriced for the facilities offered so it would be worth considering staying outside the town or going straight to your final destinantion.
