Nice hotel in centre of CarlowPosted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: Location is great.
Cons: Needs updated - looking a little tired.
Hotel is great however a little over priced. It really needs an uplift as it is looking tired - worn carpets in rooms and throughout hotel.

Nvce hotel for the valuePosted Aug 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here because we needed to be near the Bruce concert in Kilkenney. No Ac made rooms hot after a unusual Ireland heat wave But the staff couldn't be nicer. Great service in the bar area and to help us get to the concert. Not much in Carlow so if we had to go back i would stay here .

Good service but unfortunately a really hot evening, nonfans so I had to leave the windows open. The contant traffic noise late at night kept me awake. I imagine this is not normally a problem..we've just been havin unusual temps. Probably one of the better located hotels in Carlow.

I stay in Carlow twice per year for business and the Seven Oaks is always a good experience.

a nice hotel near the center cityPosted Oct 7, 2011 on Hotels.com
the location is either easy to find or frustrating to find depending on the direction you approach it. when i came down the Athy road I ran right into it. but coming from the M9 it was more confusing. be that as it may, there is a lively bar and restaurant. the breakfast was a full irish. the staff were pleasant and helpful. the rooms were fairly awkward to find within the building as well but when you get there, they are fine. clean and spacious. i was back in Carlow on a family reunion so it made for a quiet get away. also next to the carlow hospital if someone needs to take care of someone there.
