Lovely hotel, bit noisyPosted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Enjoyed my stay at The Talbot. Buffet breakfast was very good, rooms were nice and big. Downside was that it was noisy, lots of banging etc, beds were a little hard, shower was bad. Would I stay again? Possibly if there wasn't a better deal around.

Great HotelPosted Jul 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was my 2nd stay at this hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful. You would need to get a taxi to Carlow town but they are cheap enough. Didnt make it up for breakfast so cant comment on that this time. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Carlow. There is a bowling centre next door and shops such as Dunnes are across the car park.

Nice Hotel, Great ViewsPosted Jun 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Spacious, modern hotel with excellent pool, restuarant. Views for miles in every direction from upper floors. Location on ring road makes for easy access and parking, but also somewhat remote for town centre. Staff unaware of room payment in advance tried to charge again on checkout.

Just AveragePosted Oct 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
The location and hotel itself were ok. The rooms were a good size and the facilities in the hotel were great. However, the towels in the bathrooms were so poor they would strip the skin off you as you dried. The matress in the bed was very hard and squeaked loudly every time I moved which didn't lend itself to a good night's sleep. The breakfast was good except they were serving out of date yoghurts. All in all the hotel was decent value.
