“Very good choice for the cost”

Nice appearance upon arrival. Front desk attendant was very friendly & welcoming. Easy check-in, room was a pleasant place to lay your head down, pool was well kept-though spa was not operational. Only 'snag' to our stay was cleaning staff didn't understand english well (& I'm not good w/ spanish) so our room wasn't cleaned. When we spoke to the office staff the situation was quickly resolved. All in all-well satisfied.

This hotel was nothing special. Just your basic motel room. A little out dated. The pool was closed and empty so that was a real disappointment. It was priced to high for such a basic room and not pool

“Shabby, but clean”

This entire hotel is in need of an update. It wasn't cheap, but it sure looked that way. Holes in the blankets, bathroom fixtures coming off the wall, paint peeling, furniture stained and heavily used. The AC worked great, and we had a non-smoking room. Unfortunately, the window-mounted AC unit sucked in the smoke from the room downstairs. There are plenty of other hotels in Carlsbad, NM. Avoid this one. The maids are keeping this place in business. If it hadn't been clean, I would have left.

“Should change their name to "Americas Value Dump"”

even though their sign say "newly remodeled" I think all they did was paint some doors. Vintage is a better word....in a bad way. Everything is still original, maybe even the towels. The towels were stained, dingy, and worn through. The grout in the bathroom was black from mold/mildew. In one outlet they had 4 items plugged in: fridge, micro, lamp and a TV. No fire hazard there! The curtains didn't fit the window, so we had no privacy. The "continenatal breakfast"? Good Luck! I don't think they put any of it away at night. Old, smelly food. And it was dirty. The counters were sticky, milk for cereal was bad,coffee was old etc. Do yourself a favor....spend a little bit more and stay at any other hotel.

“An Experience Not To Repeat”

Started our with key not opening the door. We went back for a 2nd key and that did not work either. Finally we just got another room. Well, it went down from there. Room was in bad need of restoration. Pretty much everything was either broken (ex. clogged shower drain) or run down. Could not wait to leave.

“Sleazy check-in practise.”

The room didnt even have soap. Had to get it from front desk. Both beds were pushed against window and the wall making it difficult for the second person to get up without waking up the next person. People were mulling around the front of the rooms, making it look like a ghetto. I will never go back there.
