Cons: A complete remodel
The only thing that appeared new in this room was the TV. The lamp on the table for the internet did not work. The first thing you notice when you enter the room is the smell the resembles

Nice hotelPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Big room, cleaness
Exceeded my expectation. It's expensive but every hotel in this town is expensive. Room is big and clean, very good breakfast.

Great deal and excellent breakfasts.Posted Aug 4, 2014
Like all of the hotels in Carlsbad, this place is expensive but very nice (this is due to the oil boom). There is a restaurant in the main lobby which is where breakfast is located. The breakfast was hot and very tasty (they give you tickets when you check in and they are needed in order to eat breakfast). I had an initial issue as the first room had a single king bed and I had requested 2 queens, but the immediately fixed that issue. It is motel style so doors face outside but that means you park close to your room. Overall, an excellent experience.

Excelente!!!!!!

There are many other options..choose one of them!Posted Jul 14, 2014
Cons: See above!
We arrived late evening on a Friday to stay just the night and were efficiently checked in, but we seemed to be more of an inconvenience than a welcomed guest. This facility is huge and sprawling, and the parking lot was packed. There were people milling about everywhere. It seems that the "Nightclub" part of this MOTEL is the most popular spot in town. The room was pretty clean and the free breakfast was at least fair, but there end the positives! There were strange, loud noises throughout the night and morning that were likely associated with water piping or ventilation issues. This place is not young! The bed was so worn that it would be best described as a bowl. The curved shower rod was installed so far into the tub area, that I actually chose not to shower at this hotel. My wife noted that the shower curtain engulfed her the entire shower, and she is 1/3 my size. Roaches were seen in the main lobby and restaurant areas in the morning of departure. My theory on the Nightclub was proven correct, as when we left at 7:30 am after our night's stay, the parking lot was half empty, and there was "evidence" of partying throughout the parking lot. There are numerous other options nearby, many less expensive, so choose any of them...especially if you are travelling with your children!!! And to think this room was more expensive per night than any of the nights we spent earlier in the week at the Venetian in Vegas...........Stay somewhere else in Carlsbad!!

Overpriced, but decentPosted Jul 14, 2014
Hard to believe how expensive this place is. For what you get, it's significantly overpriced. Then again, apparently every hotel in Carlsbad is.

Housekeeping barged in twice without knocking or announcing themselves. They did not understand English either. The hotel felt dirty and cheap.

Too pricey for what you get.Posted Jun 18, 2014
Ok if you like loud guests, little kids running in the parking lot at 1 am, blasting music and loud diesel trucks.
