Pros: Reasonably clean and reasonably good value.
Hotel is worn but in reasonably good shape and is clean. I was told at the front desk that there were problems with the wireless internet that day, though I experienced no problems.

On the Way to Santa Fe

For $145 bucks, I expect something a little special. No info on breakfast. Half used bottle of shampoo. Dinky towels. Bed was comfy however. Clerk did honor my request for ground floor.

Dirty oil patch hotel. Terrible bathroom and carpet needs cleaned or better replaced.

Little car, big trip.

We used the Super 8 as a base for visits to Carlsbad Caverns. It was excellent for that purpose. This hotel seems to be used by various oil and natural gas contractor field workers. It is an older hotel. The service was very good the staff very friendly. The room did have a musty odor of smoke. Over all for our purposes it was okay for our stay.

Two nights of no sleep

Room #100 is the worst room in the hotel - opens out to parking lot and highway. Loud truck traffic all night long. Continental breakfast lacking coffee first day, decaf both days. "Handicap room" would be too small for a wheelchair to maneuver in bedroom. OK if guest is deaf. Bathroom large.

Everything was nice Except they don't have an elevator. You have to go up three flights of stares, dragging your stuff with you. The caverns are only 8 miles away.

dirty!

I am not a picky person but this place was DIRTY! I started unpacking, then packed back up and left. I already knew the room was nonrefundable. Even with lost $, I was uncomfortable with visible residue on vertical surfaces and the thought of what I could not see if the drips splotches and smears that I could see in my room and in the lobby/office were considered acceptable housekeeping.
