Bad hotel, bad staffPosted Jul 28, 2014
Location: good for Carlsbad Caverns
I booked and paid for a room for 5 people. Instead I was told I had to pay another $20 for additional bed. Breakfast was also poor. Hotel was noisy.

Overnight near Carlsbad caverns.Posted Jun 23, 2014
Our family drove from ABQ to Carlsbad Caverns to see bat flight in eve. Paid $199 on Expedia tax. But it was really an $80-&130 room. Oil boom leaves no hotels for tourists. We arrived late 10:00 & had room on 1st floor. Carpets moist & musty smell. Left my shoes on. Rooms clean. No bugs. Fridge worked, Hot breakfast good. Staff nice. People hanging out in parking lot....

Carlsbad visitPosted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: It was average at everything except for the price which was too high, a rip-off!
Cons: Price the rooms at rates equivalent to the rest of the USA
Location: Desert town, little to speak about except for the roads leading out of it.
Hotel was clean and tidy. Price was way above what could be charged in any other place.

Pet-Friendly Days InnPosted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: I appreciate the friendliness of the staff.
Cons: Other than the price per night, I don't have any suggestions for improvement.
Location: The location wasn't bad. It was only 20 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns which is why we went there. Plenty of restaurants, hotels, and stores.
When I booked my request on-line, I was told that Days Inn was the only hotel with vacancies (in the Carlsbad area) which allowed pets. The room was perfectly fine although I would expect more "luxury" for nearly $200 plus tax a night. It met all of my needs - free breakfast, free Wifi, pet friendly, and indoor pool for my kids. It was spring break so I was willing to spend the extra money even though it doesn't really fit my budget. I would definitely stay at a Days Inn again but wouldn't pay that price per night.

Clean room, unsavory location and guestsPosted Apr 6, 2014
The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in need of repair and maintenance, but the room was very clean and well kept. We were looking for a family place, and rates in Carlsbad are very high. Unfortunately, the hotel was overrun by rowdy guests who were smoking right outside the rooms, drunk in the parking lot and playing loud music to the point that our children were frightened. Lots of long-term guests there. Would not recommend if you are looking for a family-friendly place.

Clean Room, Easy Access to ParksPosted Mar 14, 2014
Pros: Indoor pool and hot tub, easy access to everything
Cons: The bathrooms are a little small for a family of 5
Location: Carlsbad Caverns, Guadalupe Mountains, southern edge of Lincoln National Forest
Family of 5, we came in on spring break on short notice. We were a little nervous as most of the rooms in Carlsbad were already gone, this was one of the last ones left. Was pleasantly surprised, the room was clean, and the staff was very friendly. Indoor pool and hot tub made the kids happy. Not quite big enough to sleep 5, but we planned for that and had my 8 year old son sleep on an air mattress that we packed with us, so it worked out for us. We were right on the highway, so we could be in Carlsbad Caverns in 25 minutes and in Guadalupe Mountains in about 35 minutes.

Our stay at Days Inn, Carlsbad, NMPosted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: The size of the towels. The blow dryer and coffee maker, which is becoming common.
Cons: A seal around a room with a connecting door, so your neighbors don't have to hear you and vise versa. For family's it's great, and a neat idea.
Location: There are fast food places, and Wal-Mart is close, as well as some eating places.
I enjoyed the bed, my boyfriend however didn't, he thought it was to soft. The walls are a bit thin, I was awaken by someone next to us laughing, but the hotel can't do anything about that. The maid came early, I told her we were still sleeping, she didn't come back. That was the first night, we stayed for two nights. So the room wasn't straightened up, and no fresh towels. The fan in the bathroom is extremely loud, so if either of us went to the bathroom at night, it woke the other up.
