The Bocce courts, heated pool ( 80 F) and hot tub, Croquet set, friendly staff and great food at the on site restaurant.

This is a beautiful resort with very well appointed rooms. The suite we had was gorgeous and the complimentary bottle of Rose chilling in the fridge along with a delicious cheese and other snacks was a lovely touch. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Our tasting menu dinner in the restaurant was delightful and room service meals hot and delicious.

We had a fabulous stay at Bernardus and will absolutely be back again! From the front desk to the cleaning staff, restaurant staff and bartender… everyone was lovely and accommodating. It was a rainy weekend and we still were able to enjoy the property and have a wonderful weekend.

Happiness is a stay at The Bernardus!
Absolutely wonderful!! Especially the dining. The chef is talented and inventive -and provides his guests with a gourmet adventure at every meal. I loved every morsel. In fact I told our server that we had fallen in love with him! Iur stay was just perfect in every detail: the room was lovely. Our little patio was cosy. The hot tub glorious. The grounds beautifully landscaped. The Lodge was beyond perfect in every way. And, the staff, especially Kerry, who was one of our servers at dinner, could not have been nicer and more helpful-plus, he even laughed at our jokes.

Property is beautiful. My partner and I stayed in the luxury spa room, which is exactly as it is portrayed. Only feedback i would share is, resort knew we were only staying 1 night, and on 2 seperate occassions asked us what are our plans for the day of arrival - which we responded with heading to the Bernardus Winery. Only to arrive at the winery and it was closed. Rather disappointing consider we drove down from the north bay and only had a short stay. Would of appreciated a heads up so we could of made alternate plans.

Such a beautiful spot and a top not resort!!! I traveled with my family, including my 5 children and we all loved staying here. Our room was a beautiful Villa that was spacious and just perfect for us. The view was outstanding and the room was perfection!

Hotel was impeccable. Incredible staff and service. Our rooms were well appointed. No nickel and dining which I appreciate. Everything in room bar was complimentary. Even the valet parking was included. Now the resort fee was $60, but they were upfront about that so you can’t complain. My only complaint revolves around the restaurant. For the prices and the ambience, I expected a higher quality of food. It was good, but unimpressive in the menu and presentation. This is too bad, because the service was exemplary.

We loved the attention to detail. Rose wine upon check in, cold fruit water at the pool, the valet who charged our car overnight without being asked, and the cheese and fruit in the room. Great stay and we will be back!

The staff was so very helpful and friendly. Lovely property and the adults only hot tub was fabulous! The Lucia restaurant was awesome. The valet staff was so friendly and gave great recommendations for hiking.

I have stayed here twice now. The first time I was nothing but impressed with the accommodation and facilities. This time the room seemed run down. One of the queen beds was pushed up against the wall so my daughter had to climb over me to get out of bed in the night. The spa plunge pool was cold (under repair) and the sauna was not working. Not what I expected for $1000 a night.

Always a treat
Staying at Bernardus is a special place. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The grounds are well taken care of and absolutely beautiful. The children’s garden is our favorite and our kids love planting seeds and seeing of the flowers come through at a later time. We stay here every year and plan on always coming back.

The room was lovely. Bed comfortable. TV not working but management compensated us for it & fixed the problem. Staff kind & responsible. Wonderful lodge. Music in lobby on Wednesday was so good we stayed for 3 sets. Great pizza in bar on Wednesday. All in all an expensive but worthwhile splurge.
