We had low expectations with this hotel, but it turned out to be very comfortable, clean and quiet. The hotel is very recent. Rooms are nice and comfortable, and it is located near restaurants and gas station. We would love to stay there again.

Great hotel. Would stay again.

Great hotel . Great value. The only thing that stopped me from a 5 star rating was the breakfast facility. Plenty of choices but filthy. There was nobody manning the station and every table was filthy with syrup and other breakfast goodies and the garbage can was overflowing. Maybe it was between shifts but I had to try to find something to clean my table with before sitting. Not one was clean. Other then that great hotel.

Very Disappointing

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: The location.
Cons: Everything! Front desk staff, breakfast, shower curtains.
Location: Location is great! Close to highway. Cracker Barrell, Applebys, McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts & Subway are all walking distance.
The room was a good size & fairly clean; could always be cleaner. The wi-fi worked well for the most part. Aside from a couple of employees at the front desk that were friendly enough and the cleaning staff whom was very friendly whenever we'd see them in the hallway; the attitude of the front desk staff left much to be desired. Whether you came in the front entrance or off of the elevator, many would not look up from their cell phones. And when you'd say "Excuse me", the attitude given back was disgusting; it was as if you had no business interrupting them. I called for more towels (since you need to cover the floor with at least 6 of them as the shower curtains are much too short so all of the water sprays out and covers the entire floor, creating very hazardous conditions if you don't lay towels first); and I was told "You have to come get them." The free breakfast was awful. Slim selection and nothing tasted fresh. Fruit choice = apples; none of which looked appetizing. Bread selection was just sliced bread - no bagels, no english muffins etc. No peanut butter for my children's toast. Nothing hot (no eggs, bacon etc). There was literally a waffle maker, sliced bread, jam & butter, tiny muffins that tasted 2 days old, 2 cereal choices & some apples. Thank goodness, Cracker Barrell is within walking distance next door. We had to go there every morning & spend money on breakfast since the free one was just not worth it. Will NEVER stay here again.

Dear Lisa, Thank you very much for your honest feedback of your recent stay at The Super 8 Pennsville. I am very sorry for the lack of service you received from our front desk staff. This is not typical of our super service and I will share your comments with our Front Desk Manager to change this level of service as soon as possible for our future guests. However, our Executive Housekeeper, will be thrilled to know that her team is happy and pleasant when tending our guest's needs. Our SuperStart Breakfast is continental and complimentary. It hosts a variety of cold cereals, whole fruit, made to order waffles, and Super 8 Cinnamon Buns. I am disappointed that our breakfast options were not satisfying for you, however I am glad that you were able to find options for you and your family at the nearby Cracker Barrel. There is also a Dunkin Donuts and McDonald's on our corner for additional breakfast options. Thank you again for your sincere comments, we are always working to enhance our level of service and reviews like yours help us to learn what we can work on.

Good value

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Good value
Cons: A mirror in the room, not just in the bathroom.
Location: Lots to do in Wilmington, which is on 10-15 minutes away. The DuPont homes and museums are fantastic!
Great facility for the price paid. The room and bathroom were clean and a good size. The decor was rather ugly (shades of orange) but we only slept there so that didn't really matter. There was only one mirror, however, and it was in the bathroom, of course, and not very large, so that was an inconvenience. Breakfast was decent, with a waffle machine and several choices of cereal, yogurt, juices, breads and pastries. Anyone visiting Wilmington should know, though, that it costs $4.00 every time you cross the Delaware Bridge to get there. It doesn't cost to come back across, however, but it was still a bit of a shock to pay that much. Still much cheaper to pay the toll than to stay in Wilmington, though, and it only took about 10-15 minutes to get into the city.

Hi Gail, Thank you for choosing to have a super stay on your recent trip to Delaware. Thank you for noting your super savings by mentioning that you stayed in NJ and paid the toll bridge each time you entered the city of Wilmington as opposed to staying in the city. We love providing super rates for our guests. You should have a little spending money to enjoy on your trip, right?! I'm glad you found our rooms to be large and clean even though the decor wasn't quite your style. I'm glad you had a great stay and great time in Wilmington. Thank you for making us part of your experience!

Not what I expected for the price!

Great room for the price. Very modern and clean. Shower a bit weird. Curtain was too high and the water leaked out and made a mess in the bathrood floor. Other than that great stay. Decent breakfast.

Those 5 stars are SUPER! It is always our pleasure to exceed our guest's expectations. I am sorry about the shower curtain in your bathroom and thank you so much for being understanding about that. We look forward to sharing many more future stays with you, thank you again for your great comments.
